These are black blue and mottled i think. They will start hatching this weekend. I got them at Blanchard 3 weeks ago. I will have some saved for just you. Start building now. They really dont take up much space.
The neighbor bought the place from a guy that raised fighting cocks, bad! He had over 1200 of them last count when he moved so the neighbor down the road is cleaning the place up and says if you haul it off its yours for free. She has a brooder that Im going to pick up that is about 8 foot long and stacked 3 high with trays and all. And a bunch of temp coops so you can set the birds ot the ground and have them enclosed. Mostly lots of wood, fencing , and aluminum siding. She has a few big building she wants removed.

Lynn might not have to work this weekend. I will get Carl to "talk" Lynn into helping and maybe we all can get enough to .................do both our add ons.
I swore I wasn't getting anymore until I could consolidate some of my younger in with the older.........I am getting close but not there yet. It will be a couple of weeks before I come up that way any how......thinking out loud.
OMG the fridg bator. Yea what will we ever do with all them. Ok come over help me catch these birds and move them out the the bed brooder and then we will have room. I have all the room 45 acres can give...............just not the secure areas. AND you need to come out and see the 4 blues that are going to be good lookin birds.
nothing really, I am going to move them out the the big brooder that is in the coop area. I think they are old enough to go out there, I left the light off them night before last but turned it back on for them last night. I just cant catch them and hold the dang lid up on the brooder they are in. I asked Lynn to cut it in half but.................

she is my fav too- i had read somewhere on byc how chicks love dampened crumbles- so as a treat, i gave them all some- yep- they love em... but my darling may have gotten too much... i read on sour crops where damp feed can cause it- none of the others got sick, but being as she was being chased around by the older pullets, makes me think she couldn't handle a full crop and being chased?? so for two days i was trying to empty her crop, then started her on the yogurt- learning alot about these feather butts!
