Okies in the BYC The Original

Gees, I give up........I want to UNPLUG the incubator and go to
the lake !!!!!! First it was the new Cornish, then the first baby
Crele........go figure, they got their first Mottled Cochin chick
this morning. They're never gonna unplug this thing..............

We'll be hatching all those Coturnix eggs that TJ talked Teach
out of next week and then 135 Butler Bobwhites shortly after
that. But, Na-Na has plans for those birdies..........LOL
MMMMMMMMMMM........good !!!!!!!

Looks like a couple more days of this horrid heat and then,
maybe a slight break. Everybody take care.

Well...I will remember this week come winter when I want to complain about the cold. I'll remember putting ice in all the outside waterers when I'm trying to figure out how to keep it from freezing in December. "Ah," I'll say to myself, "those were the days..."

Good luck Teach - remember that whatever the outcome of these classes, you have been called to be a teacher and you are great at it.

So sorry for all of you who are losing birds to the heat. ugh.

Anyone got any eggs cooking right now. I just checked a nest 2 bantams are sitting on (they was up dust bathing and eating) and took 16 eggs in the shop to candle. 15 where verrrrrrry far along. They should hatch within the week. There was one egg 1/2 the size of the rest, couldnt belive how small it was. But of course it candled claer.

I know exactly what you mean, Grace. Before I had chickens in my back yard I thought it was so cool to see foxes, possums, coons and hawks in my back lot. Now, not so much...

Grace, I was talking to a friend that owns a feed store close by about Durant closing down the poultry sale until October. He called down there and was told that the Friday sale is closed. The poultry sale on Tuesday's is still going on. Thought you might want to check it out. If it is still going, I would hate for you to miss it. I wish we had something like that around here.

well... Im going to jut start talking as if Im on voice mail....
dont stop what you are doing to pick up.....
I have found SO much time now that I stay away from the computer. I have time to read now !!! I swim, play with the kids walk the chickens, the dogs even have gotten a bath. My floors are clean the baseboards painted over as they were to dirty to clean. I have found laundry under beds that I really wanted for people to wear but now its to small. My showers are clean my yard is really beutiful.
However I need to read your post sometimes butt in and I now that its something I will have to control like smoking. Just reading about eggs hatching has me on craigslist looking for bators then I see a small pony which leads me to a saddle. Thn I e-mail a friend... see... Maybe this fall I will be back... Take care everyone I think of you often.... Monty the most... My polish are really wonderful.
