No dumb blonde jokes. Other than her. I saw her on tv last night and she seemed overly proud of having no morals at all. I doubt that anyone really expects the Hollywood type to use good judgement, but to go on national television and brag that you have the God given right to be an idiot is just wrong.

Personally, I am offended by the fact that her vote counts as much as mine. I'm beginning to believe that there should be some sort of IQ test administered before someone is allowed to register to vote. Or that, like native Americans and former slaves, if you have a 90210 address, your vote should only count as 1/5 as much as regular folks.

But that's just me.

Morning all

Boy its hot over here in Tn too!.Supposed to be our first official 100 degree day.

Had about forty bantams hatch while I was in Okla. Mostly belgian quail.,a few silkies, couple of cochins. Got some golden neck d'uccles eggs from Arizona this week and have them setting ,four broodys going at this time. I took all the chicks away from the ones that hatched and put them all together. Easier than finding pens for each broody!
Garden is growing leaps and bounds, will have first ripe tomatoe this week:love, beets and beans to pick. Found a gigantus yellow squash last night.

. Had to pull up my zuchinni ,it was swallowing the whole garden!
Everyone have a great day.

Morning - Hope y'all are having fun! We finished the season in second place and now have the tournament. Should be fun. If only we can make it to face the number 1 team and have enough pitchers!

I hatched out some birdies yesterday and have some (18 or so) coming every week...well except that batch I got from Nana's clan! Those birdies all have homes though!

Stimp - you crack me up...I know what you mean. I think folks should have to get a license to have kids. That or just let teachers have a ray gun so we can zap the ones that really should reproduce!

Glad to hear your garden is doing so well. Mine has just about recovered from the hail. I have only gotten peppers so far but have my eye on a coupld squash! I know what you mean about missing stuff...I tried growing maroon okra cuz i kept missing the green ones!

By the way...anyone wanna trade for some broody hens? I have four that are about to irritate me to death! They are supposed to be my laying hens and this is like the fourth time they are all sittingin the same nest!!! And there isn't an egg in it!

Yo Okie-Homies! Glad you out-of-state Okies made it back to TN & NV safe.

Hear, hear, Stimpy! I agree with you. Just because you have a spotlight on you most of the time doesn't make you smart or right.

I've gotten peas, cherry tomatoes, okra, cabbage, broccoli, carrots and onions out of my garden so far...just a few. My big tomatoes are growing but not turning red yet. My squash plants are huge, but I don't see them setting fruit...whazzup, squashes?

Any time you want a little salad, I got the makings! But if you want a veggie omelet, it'll take a couple more weeks. My clucks haven't started laying yet - getting close - looking forward to them paying rent.

Good almost afternoon,

Got out and have most of the choirs done before the heat really kicks in.

And you better believe the warnings we will load you down with chickens and still have you wanting more.

Well I have a blue ameracauna chick and a black ameracauna chick hatch this morning. They are so cute.

Had to help one out of the egg since it decided to hatch out the wrong end.

Also had a surprise when I opened the incubator to check the newbies. I have a baby bird hatch in my incubator and I am not sure what it is. I thought it was a turkey or something since the egg was brown and almost as big as the peafowl eggs I bought. It was a mystery egg I was given at the Cement auction. I am assuming it is some kind of chicken since it kinda looks like one and it hatch in 21 days but it is HUGE! It is cute and looks like it is going to be solid white from the coloring but aside from that

.

Going to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir tonight (friend got me tickets) so I will not be going to the Blanchard auction. Looking forward to the hearing the choir but am going to miss going to the auction. Have not been to an auction in three weeks. I need to go to an auction soon, the withdrawls are starting to hurt.

Better go get some more choirs done while it is under 95 degrees.

You all take care.

I don't think I am gonna make the auction either. It is just too hot.
I think it would stress out the birds I was taking. I'll wait for a break
in the heat. Maybe like October.
I lost three six week old chicks last night. I don't know if it was heat or if they were piling on. They had plenty of water and a fan blowing. They died sometime after five so I don'y know heat or pile up?

So who do the bird claws play tonight. If it is the Yarddogs I don't want to hear about it. Unless OKC wins of course.
