Okies in the BYC The Original

In the last ten days, our AC has gone out, plumbing probs in the kitchen, wife's car had to be fixed (under warranty so whew ! ) our tv in the living room is now a very large radio and the lawn mower isn't acting well.

To top all of that though I had a longtime family friend die last night.

But today things are looking up.

hi guys- got all the chicks stashed all over the house in the ac, got a problem with one of the silkies- went in this morning and Spike was leaning to one side today, uncoordinated walking, and when he does walk his head is down and tail up- is this wry neck? gave him vitamins and he is eating - walking a little better-but also rolls over to one side- maybe too much heat?

The Tulsa Talons are out of town this week. I believe they have schooled the OKC Yard Dawgz plenty this season. (You know the Tulsa Talons' mascot is a chicken...that's why they're so AWESOME.)

poor little spike, is it possibly wryneck? he is still rolling over to one side, and when he walks he tilts forward and has done a somersault a few times- ideas? he is propped in a cage(in the livingroom) with food and water accessible, and the little white chick is with him muttering- he will eat with help...

ATTEMNTION, I have been in bed for three days from over exposier to heat and I think my diveticulosis kicked in some, I NEED HELP NOW!!! I need to liquidate most of my chickens, quail and my two turkeys, I CAN NOT TAKE CARE OF THEM and my wife is doing the best she can, PLEASE, ANYONE THAT WANT CHICKENS, CALL ME, 580-724-9224, I will be in most of the day tomarrow, would like to get rid of them TOMARROW IF POSSIBLE, am willing to sell cheap, will trade, will deal, take one take all, my health is more important right now!!! Sorry you are feeeling bad Lynn. I wish I could help but my plate is pretty full right now. I know a guy that would come and probably buy everything but I don't what he would pay. I'll try and contact him and give him your number.
The next four days are booked for me between my dad's surgery and a funeral I have to go to.
Aren't there some buddies in your area that can lend a hand.
I would be interested in the quail and maybe some chickens but Thursday would be the earliest I could get up there and I know that is no help for you.

Tonight while I was out scooping chicken stuff I realized that our board is ailing. I'm a fixer by nature... and the only way I know to "fix" anymore is to pray...

Lord I believe in these perilous days that if we call on our almighty Father God. you will hear your people praying. You are all in all and we honor you as King. Sovereign Lord over our lives.

I pray for Lynn. I ask for your gift of healing and restoration in his life. He is overwhelmed by trials and illness, come and carry his yoke of heaviness and sustain him. Watch over Dakotah. Shield him with your mightiest angels for we know how easy it is for the devil to deceive the youth and prey on their weaknesses and inexperience. Open his eyes and his heart to your word that he would not suffer loss of anything precious due to lack of wisdom in personal choices. Bless and keep Lynn's family tightly in the grip of your grace.

Bless Teach as he tries to advance your kingdom through the instruction of your youth. The wisdom of this world is trying to block his adavance forward in your call on his life. I ask that you would blind any critical eyes to Roy's progress. That they would only see what you would want them to see. That you woluld push Roy around like a chess piece until he is exactly within the bounds of your will in his life. Bless and hold his family as well.

I ask for your beauty for ashes for Donna, for the oil of joy instead of the ashes of mourning. That the joy of her Lord...You...would be her strength. Reminder her that you know sorrow and grief personally and she is never foresaken or alone. Be a prominant sense of comfort and peace for her family.

Bless stimp and Lou and carry them through their batch of summer's trials on eagles wings. You area the ultimate soldier and guard your own steadfastly .

Our sweet monty...who has laid himself out as a living sacrifice....holy and acceptable to You. carry him through all the bumpd he is having. Bind the devil as he tries many fiery darts....and comfort his heart in the loss of his dear friend.

Wow Monty,when it rains it pours they say. Hopefully your rain bucket will be empty for a while.

Gee Greybeard wish I was close enough to help.Maybe someone can take them on halves and give you a strat back when you get back on your feet,hate to see anyone have to give up their cluck hobby.

Henny that was a great prayer,wish I could be so articulate maybe the Lord would listen to me more!(Or maybe he is?)

I didn't make an auction but did some trading today, Got a golden d'uccle pullet,pir of porcelian d'uccles and another golden neck d'uccle hen. I'm starting to fall for the d'uccles and mille fleures! Someone save me,tell me they are horrible birds to have!lol.
