They are adorable little birds

My d'Uccle rooster (that got "picture of the week" on the forum index last week), is the sweetest bird I own!

Yeah, some of them surely did. One yuppy looking young lady, though, just sort of smiled like, "Yes, we're in Oklahoma alright."

It was a hoot. The noise wasn't so bad, but I could have done without the smell, though. DW hasn't been in the car yet. I think she's gonna kill me.

Hey Monty, there are some people that raise the Runts just south of you I think, My memory leaves me but I will think of their names, uuuuhhhh James????? oh what ever, him and his wife were running the Giant Runt club for quite a while, you might try googling Giant Runts in Oklahoma....AAHHH Avery!!! that is his last name... well you know how old age is, any ways, hope all is having a great day, you also have Wayne Haws right there in Choctaw that has all kinds of pigeons and was the sec/tres for the Oklahoma Pigeon Association, I have had over three hundred different kinds of pigeons in my life and at one time kept, sold and traded 500 birds at a time, I love pigeons but got out of them for some time, my son still has about 30 birds of different kinds, Later, Lynn

Hey Dashounds, hope you can come to Poops, would love to talk pigeons with you, and the Hungarian House Pigeons are bigger than the Runts, i have owned both at one time or another, drop me a pm and we can visit sometime, Lynn

Hello to all the new people out there, I am on the look out for some Crele colored Standard Old English Games, don't care if they came from fighting bloods or if they are a little miss marked, I just love the big games and the Crele color, want them as yard ornaments, so if anyone has any or know of any please contact me, thanks, Lynn

Has any one ever tried hatching quail under bantams?

I have some pretty small d'anvers hens that I think would be light enough not to break them but am not for sure. Only problem is the d'avers I have are really mean momas!

If they see a chick thats not theirs they will kill it fast!

So I wonder if they would notice the species difference and kill as soon as they hatch? :

Good evening everyone!!!! What a wonderful weekend!!! Met some more of the great OKIES from the site ended up selling about 60 birds and sold them all and made profit!! I was surprised but I did it and my wife had a great time!!! I think that she now has the fever she was out with me today covering runs and having a blast with the chickens!!! I ended up bringing home 9 new Polish!

dachsunds - I didn't have a clue so asked Pa-Pa....He says
"Yes, but you will have to contain all of them so the little rats
can't run off....LOL When the quail are big enough not to need
the hen, just take her out of there....but if they can get out....
they'll be gone.....LOL

Quenston - So glad we got to meet you guys. You're gonna love
this POOPS bunch. Carolyn, if we stick together, we might,
eventually, be able to contain these guys........well, was a
thought...........LOL

Buster - Don't let 'em pick at you......Gees, I won't live long
enough to forget Pygmy Goats in the trunk of my new car.....
and begging the deputys NOT TO OPEN THE TRUNK!!!....LOL
They had gotten all excited that Pa-Pa was spitting skoal in
an old cut out beer can.....LOL He drinks 2 beers a year......
if we have pizza....LOL In my time...have hauled all kinds of
critters home in whatever I happened to be driving.........
STUFF HAPPENS..........LOL

Have a good one, all !

OMG...This is awful. I think I crippled a henny.

I am so frustrated. I have been giving the really snarky ones Tylan injections. I did this hen yesterday and it was fine. Today I give it the shot and it just collapsed. It is alive but it seems like it has had a stroke or something. I gave the shot like a gazillion of them before...into the skin of the neck. It didn't feel like I went to deep or hit anything. What the heck? One of my best blue hens...a sweet one too. Now it's all messed up and it's my fault! Gosh, I think I am getting out of the chicken business. I either clean too much or not enough. They get sick every time the weather changes. I spend time and money I don't have to give them a decent life... I know it's not the best, but I bust my a$$ trying. Screw it. I give up. I know I will have to cull it tomorrow. I'm done.
