Blah Blah Blah, I hate this weather.

I just can not motivate to do anything.
Here is Bood and Betty.

I will be hatching again soon also. Gotta get them to laying again, they are on strike since i locked them up a few weeks ago. Want to build up the spring stock of layers. Probably be just mutt birds but dang I can get them to hatch better than them Full bloods. I have 3 EE hens, 4 Black sex link hens, a couple mutt pullets, and JG hen or 2. The roosters with them is a Black JG and a 5 toe mutt. I have not clue what he is, he is kinda bearded and muffed.

Still waiting on the Langs and the Buttercup to start laying.

I need a duck, a big 'ol mean owl took one of my wife's two ducks a few nights ago. But I want to wait and see if the one we have is a boy or a girl.

Today is day #19 for my 47 eggs bantam hatch. I've been playing happy hatching music for them on the piano, nothing yet.

And today is 24 weeks old for my three oldest hens... no eggs yet, I think they are a little lazy.

MAllen...I have a ton of ducks that you are welcome to. If you want to bring your wife over and let her pick one out sometime you're welcome to. I only live north of Claremore or if your cut through the hills you're probably 6 or 7 miles from me.

Just let me know.

Awesome! But I'll need to wait just a bit until we can tell if ours is a boy or a girl. Maybe I can post a pic later today and get some help with that.

I told Pa-Pa about the growing list of us that are planning to
go to Shawnee. Were this in the summer-time, there is a
super clear area with trees out in the campsite area. But.........

I didn't remember it, but he says there is a small arena set-up
near the consession stand, between the chicken show area and
the pigeon area that has bleachers on both sides of it. So,
would be a good place for us to "perch" and visit. Saturday
would be the day to be there. Seems like we were cooped out
and headed home by 2:00 on Sunday.

Al - that is scarry ! I believe I would be working that trap like
a revolving door, ....sounds like you already are. I'd set it even if
I didn't see any tracks. So, are you making us all hats like
CitiClucks? No, no opposum.......just the coons !!!!!!

Teach - Bill is still laughing about your arriving home after your
last trip to Shawnee........LOL

And, the 1-roo to 8-hens......... Pa-Pa and TJ say 2-roos ain't
havin' that kind of luck around here........LOL

Have a good one !

But you guys live in the beautiful part of the state.
I will trade a chicken auction for two acres of pine trees.

Hmm.. I don't know about two acres worth, but I could bring you a couple of treelings.

I'm pretty sure that I agree. I've been dreaming of moving for a long time. I'd rather drive 2 hours to the auction and have the property.

what kind of Parrots do you have

The server cabinets? You bet. Al was just in here yesterday giving me great pointers on how to go about converting one into a bator/hatcher. I figure with his advice, a bunch of money, and a lot of patience, I may actually be able to hatch a few eggs come March.

I still need to get around to posting some pictures of it. Al got me all excited about it again!

Well, break's over! Back to work!

C'ya.

Pineapple green cheek conures.

I have a Indian ringneck and looking for a Meyers

I used to raise parrots when I lived in San Antonio ... years ago. Had an aviary in the backyard, and the entire garage full of 'em. African Grey, several varieties of Amazon's, several varieties of conures, and some meyers and senegals.

It was fun raising the parrots, but sure took a lot of time hand feeding all the babies.

Oh, and I was a member of the Alamo Exhibition Bird Club, but they were never as fun and lively as the Okies here. They were mostly stuffy, elitist types & didn't seem to ever want to share bird-keeping info.

I'm so glad to be an Okie that came back to roost here. I've learned so much more about birds in the last few years as a member here.
