If you have ever gotten a bid # they may have gotten it from their list. or they have came here to our Okies thread and gotten e-mail add from there. I got a letter from them this week, I wonder what Buster's take will be on the future of the Fletcher auction.

Never got a bidding number when we were there that one time... I just realized that my email addy was listed on here so I fixed my profile... If that is how they got it then that is wrong... that is how spam is projected... Nothing against the Auction for trying to get the word out but there are other ways than getting them off of local boards...

Yeah Jeannie I am not sure what's up with them they seem to be on a serious Damage control quest after the boondoggle of thier previous sales. I think they don't realize that folks around here are very unforgiving about such Blatant mistakes and fumbling about trying to make their deal work. After all running a livestock auction is not brain surgery, but many folks who would otherwise normally attend are under the impression that they don't have a clue. I really was hoping it would work because it is so close, but i like to look at more than 4 birds and old blankets when I go to a sale barn LOL. They will be having free hot dog's Saturday in an attempt to get a draw. There will always be Okies looking for free food so they may get 6 or 7 people to attend.

I wonder if Big Q has worked out whether he is going to Fayetville or not after he get's back from fishing.

Carah : You and Maddy should have a great time at the show, Bill & Eulaine can show you the ropes, they are show Pro's.

Nope, that wouldn't have been it. They can't see your email address when they go into your profile. Click on my email link or my profile and you will see what I mean. And if they sent you an email from here, it would say email from BYC yada yada yada.

They got your email some other way.

I got the email, but they have my address because I have emailed them before. In fact, I think we both may have over a Craigslist ad for some turkeys that we were both interested in. You might want to go back and check your sent folder for something to the family that runs it.

Al, I think it depends on how determined they are and how deep their pockets are. There is no question they are losing money at the moment. If they stick to it long enough, they might just carve out a niche for the third Saturday. I think going up against a nearby, well-established auction like Cement is going to work against them for the first weekend of the month, and they have made some other mistakes (the tax thing) that are going to make the going tougher.

But, they insist they are here to stay no matter what. Time will tell, I guess.
