Drove to Monty's house this morning to pick up the American Game Bantams that Michael gave me. Monty was right, they both look really nice! Thought I would share some photos, these are Hatch AGB's, the rooster weighs 1 pound 15.8 ozs, the hen weighs 1 pound 5.8 ozs and they are full grown.
Big Okie, or anyone else in NE Oklahoma..........A friend of Bill's
told him yesterday that there was a bunch of really nice
birds went through the Chupps Auction at Inola Saturday.
He says there were several Standard Cochins in white, black,
buff, blue and splash.
Any chance that any of you were up there? Would anyone
have a clue who ended up with the cochins - namely the
splash? We're in need of a really nice, really big, splash
roo.
Dandy - soooo glad you posted. Was worried about the
trip you were looking at, especially having just made the
trip up there. Tell the girls "Hi" for us.
Have a good one !
Oh Na-Na...this makes me sick.
I've been trying to find some standard cochins and with no success. I had planned to go to Chupps Saturday and we decided to stay home and work on pens, winterize, etc. Now I'm mad I didn't go. Oh well, guess someone else needed them worse. I didn't think we should spend the money since I bought MAllen's chicks and after that I bought 8 hens and 2 roos.
Hi y'all...this teaching thing is exhausting! I think I need to sleep more than a few hours at a time each night. I wake-up every little bit...tonight should be better!
Talked to my sis and my dad is on his way to my oldest sister's house.
Cammie - so sorry...sometimes it takes awhile for folks to realize there is a problem and how to deal with it...trust me...took a bit for me to realize I needed my happy pills
the bator is running shawn bring them on! I have a bunch coming out over the next week...
I don't really kow how things are going as I am at home and really won't know anything until this evening once everything is settled and my sister calls.

my first home meal was last night with the wife and kids...ate very little veggies. Slept is a relative term. I go to sleep but seem to wake up periodically...1-4 are common time for me to see the clock. Last night 4 am was the time. Lots of dreams that require more work than they are worth! I am okay though. I have my wife and kid. Plus my school family. Our kids are awsome...they all want to know how things are...I am a little zoned...mainly from being tired. Like NN said...those long drives wear you down...and I will never be used to it!
Thanks for the worries...maybe you should be mother-hen! I have had broodies kinda get that hatchet look you like so much!

Corey is dying to be able to talk with you guys between shows. I think she really enjoys talking with TJ. She likes having friends who like chickens. Her friends at school don't have her love of the birds so she's not able to talk about them very much.
I was so impressed that Kendra was scoping out those RIRs for her breeding program. She is putting a lot of thought into breeding better birds. WOW!
I'm going to Lowe's today to check out building supplies for some show crates. I decided the best way to fit crates into my vehicle was to make them for my vehicle.
