Somebody hacked Britney Spear's twitter this morning and said she worshipped the devil... So I had a dream during my evening nap that someone hacked my BYC account and told everyone I sacrificed chickens. Lol

The next show I will be "at" is Shawnee, but I am not for sure when I will be showing next... (but I will see you and many other Okies then).

I think we'll be going to the Shawnee show in December too. It was so much fun going last year, even though we didn't stay long. Maybe we'll even eventually learn how to show birds too.

Well, I'm one of those people that "has" to be in bed by 10:00, and I think staying up those extra hours just gave me a headache. But, thanks for the warning!
If y'all come to Shawnee (I hope you do!) remember to load up the big green army truck with all those birdies to sell

Evening all. Thought I would shake things up a bit and get everyone confused!

This is Dachsunds!

I sold my doxxies so decided to go for a name change and new avatar. I just didn't mess with the doxxies as much as they needed so found a nice lady that liked them as much as we do to take them.Now I wonder how long before the varmits realize there are no dogs outside at night to bark at them!
I am feeling better and back on my feet. Just going a little slower for a few days.

Our local(only one in the state) pigeon clubs annual show is this weekend. I walked away with the two top awards last year but am not entering this year. Do hope to go and maybe get some more birds.

Hope you all don't get to confused and if you do I will still answer to Dachsunds!.

Since I have never been to a poultry show, can someone tell me what goes on for those who are selling birds? I would be interested in buying birds, but don't know what the protocol is or even what to expect.

Here is a update on Austin and his now infamous nail stepping,It has been 4 days since Austin last slept in his own bed due to stepping on a wretched nail while helping me move our goats. Tuesday After spending all Monday night in the ER waiting to be seen he was refered to ORTHO where they felt it very necessary to operate on Austins foot, since then Austin has been in the Hospital pumped with Antibiotics which sadly he is allergic too, so they counter balance with Benedryl... The Dr has been going in regularly to check on his foot condition and hopes that the red colouring of the top of his foot and the swelling will go down to a more comfortable stable look so they can send him home, but if its not well by tomorrow they will continue to keep him there pumped with antibiotics and last resort have to go back in to open his wound back up to make sure there is no other issues arising.

The poor guy although is being a real trooper in all this is wanting to come home, and we want him home too. This shift changing has been hard on us physically but emotionally its one where we feel better safe than sorry... and its been great seeing the overwhelming support from friends and family for Austin, especially when several key folks in our lives here have stopped their time in the day to go visit with him. God has been very gracious to us during this time when there were several things that could have been an terrible outcome in this but the Lord truly hears our prayers and I am forever thankful to Him...

I will keep you all posted if anything changes and once Austin is outta the hospital and at home I will share photos of his Hospital Journey... until then you all have a very blessed rest of the week...

If you are only buying, it is pretty easy. There will be a sell area or a whole room designated "sell". You find something that interests you, track down the owner, pay (if you choose to buy), and take your addition home

The birds at a poultry show will be from a NPIP certified flock, so you don't have to worry about "violating" anything if you are already certified.
