OKC is a fine idea, And yes I would be IN, I think if it were better organized we may have a better turn out, it is just that with all the hoopla of the OK chickenstock, From the photo's it didn't seem very interesting, and allot of folks never even got a chance to meet up. the key to organizing a successful event is to get more people involved in the process more contributors and a qualified ramrod to make it all come together. If it were more social and fun, i think these are things we could work on.

Cuban and Goldrose, you got me sucked in, guess I'll have to try it out! I'll try putting my link in my signature.

Found this link while I was browsing, thought it was nicely done: Chick Hatching

hello all....
My daughter (5) wants a Incubator for her birthday. She loves her Black Cochin's and they like her..... Now Im a city girl without a clue but Im learning and loven this. So you guys where do I get an Incubator ? I have seen some on ebay, feed stores tractor supply ect.... What am I looking for and what do I need ? I would love any and all help...
We have the first 3 eggs set aside to eat but will be saving some for hatching later.....
Thanks... Beth

What if we did a central "get together" say at lake thunderbird. I know dirty lake and all but I think I can call and rent a pavillion for under 75 bucks. Would have to ask about it being a chicken swap thing. Thunderbird is the only lake I know good around here. It is simple access off 1-40 and hwy 9. We could go to the Little Axe side as it has RV hook ups and a bit more "family" area??????????

I have a still air Brower and made what I call a chick crib wrap, looks like a bumper pad for a baby crib and it wraps around the incubator, has done wonders to help keep a constant temp. Will be putting in RIR eggs this afternoon.
