Henny mentioned a vineyard that is somewhere South of Shawnee, where she is able to get a red rasberry wine, if I recall correctly. I don't recall if the name of the wine or the name of the vinyard is Jeremiah Red - just remember that it is a cool name.

Found Henny's post regarding the red rasberry wine.....

StableRidge is in Stroud!! Jeremiah's Red is the supplest sweet red raspberry wine...but not like Boonesfarm... this is really good....some dark chocolate...cold winter's night and a fire in the fireplace... HEAVEN!!!

At least I got the name of the wine correct - sure couldn't recall where the vineyard was located.

Well the Blanchard auction was small tonight. It feels strange being home at this time tonight. For those that are wondering Blanchard will have an auction on Dec 26 as usual. I just love it some much.If you ever wanted to bottle feed a calf we had plenty. Even though the numbers were small still had a great time. Hope everyone did well at the show and had lots of fun.

Hoping to see you all on the 26th.

Jerry

Oh my goodness, I drove right by it and it even made a comment to Charlotte on their Christmas lights. It looked like they were having some sort of Christmas party or something. I ended up taking 44 to Stroud and got off there heading back.

Hello all - I just got home from working and I couldn't wait to get on and see what everyone was up to! Sounds like the show was fun - thank you MAllen for posting the photos. Faerie, I'm so glad you got to go. I really am sorry I missed seeing everyone I know and meeting those of you I haven't met in person. I loved the photos of Buckguy/Monty, Sooner/, Stimpy/Keith, Al, poultryand bees/Maribeth, luv2bememaw/Donna, Muesky/Rebecca, Grace, Teach/Roy and his boy, and Betsy.

I also will be waiting to hear how Quenston and Dandelion and Betsy did with their show birds! I want to see more photos, too. Safe travels everyone!

Tanya - the worst thing any of us would have done if you had introduced yourself, would have been try to help you find some birds to buy

I hope that if you make it to any other chicken shows or auctions and see one of the blue shirts, that you will introduce yourself. We can't "enable" you if we don't know who you are.

Oh I wish you would of said hello. We are all a really nice bunch and all we would of done was welcomed you to our group! Did you happen to notice any of us in our blue shirts???

Yeah - the temperatures are projected to be above 60 degrees today - looks like a good day to move the stinky guinea keets from the house to the unheated brooder room - and put a light on them again since they are only acclimated to 72 degrees

Betsy - I tried your technique of opening a banana by turning it upside down (so the stem is on the bottom) with the curve facing you, then smashing the end with your thumb. It works great! It popped right open and and all those strings seem to stay with the peel also. I love learning new things.

Thanks for the encouragement guys! I saw the blue shirts everywhere, but everyone was in there own conversations and I was trying to wrangle my red headed two year old and caitlin and slow down dh (he just runs through rows until he sees something interesting to him). Had my hands full! I am planning on making it to poops and some spring shows etc. Caitlin's first show will be the county 4H show in Feb. She'll still be a cloverbud, but that makes it easier on her for her first entry. I think I'll see if Joseph can show as a cloverbud and bring his red chicken (he claims all the rir's as his) eventhough he will only be 3 at the time. I'll post the show date so if your in the area you can come by and root them on. We've been doing lots of studying on show prep. We will need to go ahead and get NPIP tested in Jan.

gotta go to a church christmas program
have a good day!
Tanya

Jeannie,
sounds like some children are fixin to become the lucky recipients of excellent foster parents. Congratulations on getting the foster parent classes completed. Let us know if you need some "special" birds for the new children you are likely to get before the end of the year.
