You must be talking about undergrad degrees. Because if you know of tons of scholarships and grants for Masters and above please do tell.

I thought Henny was talkin' about undergrad. Grad school is a whooooole different beast.

On Govliquidation one time I got up against a bidder that was used to "snipeing" like on Ebay. Snipeing is waiting till the last few closing seconds and placing a bid. Well anyway I had the high bid and just in the closing seconds another bid came in but I didn't answer it. You see on Govliquidation activity in the last few minutes will extend the time to put a bid in by 15 mins. Then I doubled my bid and watched this guy do the same thing over and over. He tried to snipe the bid four more times but he didn't get the job done!!

That is kind of nice, you don't have to worry about someone at the last second. I don't snipe, but wait to see how high the bidding might go before I start. Usually on the last day I will have made up my mind. Also a way to make sure that I still want it after a day or so. LOL.

My biggest challenge after an auction is identifying my cages so that I get them back. I have started putting my name on them with duct tape. I think Carla puts a stick inside the cage with the bird, to make her cages more easily identified.

Smfamf I am about thirty minutes north of Nashville,only 7 miles from Kentucky line. (its a real narrow state). We are still concidered a "subburb"but are right where the kentucky farm land starts. We don't actually go into Nashville much,we would rather go to Bowling Green Ken. Nashville is a mad house to drive in. In Bowling green you find all the same stores and its much easier to get around in and lots less traffic and people. Its the same distance on further north.

They have started closing schools here! Snow is in the "forecast"!lol. Most of the ones closing are only scheduled to get a half inch!Its not even supposed to start till mid morning! They would die here if they had what you all have been thru!They start wearing parkas and overcoats when the temp drops in the fortys!And the funny thing is most people around here are from the northern and eastern states. Only 1 out 10 is a purebred local. And you can spot them right off!!!LOl

Since it was last edited, the Alex auction has been changed to the 2nd and 4th Friday night instead of Saturday.
