Thank the powers that be that I am graduating in May. Of course then I have to either get my National Board Certification or I have to start my doctorates.

It feels like I have been in school forever and will be in school for the rest of my life.

I went ouside a few minutes ago and there is a thin coating of ice everywhere. Now the wind is howling like a banshee. Going to be a long night as I will go and check things a couple of times through the night.

Wayne I used to haul a lot of cattle out of that area. If I remember right it was Cherry's and was where the new Corvette plant is now sitting.

D.O.T. used to sit at the bottom of the mountain and do inspections. The state sure made a lot of money off of those bull wagons.

the company
I work for thinks it is a good idea to send all new employees away for a class. It is a one day class that discusses the company and its history. It has absolutely nothing to do with the actual work that we do. They choose to send you somewhere away from home for 3 days. I'd rather not go, but it has to be done.

I would go in a heart beat. I would find something I could do or see while I am there too. I like adventure.

I am a real homebody. I don't usually even go to town by myself. Most of the time I choose to go into work 2 hours early just so that I don't have to drive by myself. My best friend has to be to work at 6 and I don't have to be there until 7. I really like to stay close to home, but I'm sure I will have fun and meet lots of new friends while I'm there.

Our lights have been flickering and I just checked OG&E's outage system. They already have about 1,300 customers without power in Piedmont and several areas in OKC with fewer than 500 customers out of power. I am putting on the insulated coveralls and going out to batten down the hatches.

Several of Oklahoma's state agencies rely heavily on fines on motor carriers also. We will likely see a lot of fee and fine increases this coming year, as the State struggles to find revenues without any of the tax increases that require a super majority vote of the legislature.

I used to know how to get around all the scales in the Midwest. Got stopped West of Blackwell in a little town called Arvard. I was just a tad heavy and it cost $543.00, I knew that I should have went South through Ponca City!!

That Green River Parkway has the darndest fog that I have ever seen. It is usually not all that far to get through but it is thick, like driving into a wall.

It is snowing here and cold! All the waterers are inside and will get hauled out in the morning. We don't stop school for silly things like cold! Heck we had school one day in the dark! The kids were like we should go home! We said why?...so you can sit in the dark at home? It was fun...I can't teach w/o technology!

Shavon - I will haul your roos for you! Wanna go? I think I will have room. Depends on if my bro comes back to my house or goes home from the auction.

Hennny - wh you being on fickel on me...buttering me up then saying I ain't all that and a big grab of chips...you know I am!

The once a year auction we have up here make syou sell the cage with the bird and no selecting. Folks sell some wierd stuff! I build cages for my stuff...I have usually had some sort of stuff lying around wire wise...then I make wood frames and staple the heck out of the wire...my cages are probably worth more than the birds and still don't bring nothing!

BbbbbRRRrrrrrrrr it is a little nipply out there! I am having a hard time moving my fingers to type on this computer after going outside and picking up glass out of the yard, some might have been ice. Well, my husbands pet project went for a ride in the night cold windy sky, thanks to DH batting practices while ice skating across the porch and down the stairs while playing soccer in the head with the hummingbird feeder I forgot to take down. Luckily though my DH hit a home run with that awful pitch. I could here the bat hitting something from in the house. I had to restrain the daughter from going outdoors convincing her he is just scaring him off again. Larry came inside to tell us his pet won't be coming back that he had a good talk with him and the opossum didn't like the look of his bat he was carrying, hehehe. Although, I am still naive and am teasing the DH that I am sure his talk did a lot of good, but then one quick look at that bat told me the real story. So the moral of the story folks is, 'Don't mess with my dear hubby when he has a bat in his hand.'

Good for him Kate! When I was a little guy I used a shovel on a big boar possoum...it took several whacks! once it was stunned I let my dog finish it!

I think it is bed time...I gotta get up early and water and feed...again! Stupid cold...there are several days that i dislike having birds...tomorrow is gonna be one of them...spring is fun!

I would love to go, but I'm not sure I will make it. Do I need to get some cages for them, or will you be carrying some extras?

We have had one casualty from this cold. I thought they would all be ok, but I was wrong. He was a darling OEGB roo. We will miss him.

I can not seem to find much for grants and scholarships for grad school here. I am working on my masters.

So what are ya'll taking this semester?

I am taking: Practicum 1
