Grace, those are some really cute pic's! You should get a super-fine comb & comb out that silkie feathers ... looks like a pullet to me. Hopefully that head full of feathers will continue to puff out.

When I was at the Shawnee Poultry Show, I asked one of the exhibitors what they did to get their birds feathers looking so awesome and they said they just bathe their birds and use a fine toothed comb on them. Maybe some day I could show a bird or two. It sounds like fun.

Grace, please zoom out and show us your secrets behind the curtain (or walls in this case). I've been wanting to get some good pictures of my chickadees but I'm afraid they will make a run for it and become dog food. Maybe I should just make a dog jail before attempting to take pictures...

Hopefully, Carla everything will be okay when your daughter sees the specialist. Ultrasounds aren't exact. Think about how many times someone is having a boy (or girl) and is wrong after nesting (painting, decorating and the baby shower). I had to take my youngest daughter to OKC to get her hearing tested again because the hospital thought she had problems. My question is how do they test a newborn's hearing??? Second test revealed nothing wrong. I'm trying to give you hope.

I'm sending best wishes your way. And of course a prayer or two. Let us know what the specialist thinks tomorrow.

I remember when I was pregnant with my kids .... 28 & 29 years ago ... the ultrasound machine was new and the doc guessed wrong on the sex of both my kids.

I guess if there really is a problem, maybe a specialist can do something before the baby is born.

I'll for certain be doing lots of praying.

Anyone going to prague Friday?

Looking to pickup a white silkie hen or two, and a couple of welsummer hens.

And probably a trio of Buff Laced )or something similar) polish again. We're doing good on eating eggs, so it's time to get the breeding program back in shape.

I dont tink it rained here last nite, but it definetly rained this morning when i was at work. It was coming down hard. We need the rain though, dont need another year like we had a few back with dried up ponds and tumble weeds.

Anyone in NorthEestern oklahoma with some silkie hatching eggs? Or some chicks. Im trying to find some close, found some on craigslist and havent had a reply yet

Tonight: Strong thunderstorms likely. Storms may produce large hail and strong winds. Low 48F. Winds SSW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70%. Rainfall may reach one inch.

Sounds like a great day to me

Nothing set in stone but it looks like we may have a date for April
25.
Also on the thread grace started someone posted about NPIP rules. What I read on there was that if you are already have a NPIP tested flock you can't buy or swap for any birds that aren't NPIP tested. So is there a law that all of the birds at our swap must be tested before we can swap.
I have no idea about all of this so can someone share some knowledge about how this might affect our meeting.
I gotta go to the doc to have some blood sucked from my veins.
Dang leaches.
Be back later.

Ok
on another note does anyone have a Sportsman 1502 or something like it that they could take some pictures of the shelf's and how they are connected..
also if it's not to much trouble could you tell me how long, wide and high they are.. I am wanting to try something with my freezer-bators.
TIA for any help

Don
