I spent from 1230pm til 745pm in the car with only about 1 hour of that outside the car in small pieces of time

Drove out to Okmulgee, got lost a bit, found out where I was, got to the friend's house, where we actually were out of the truck a full half hour. Threw all the chickens in the dog crates, hauled them back to OKC, got here around 5 which meant I had to go pick up 3 puppies from the clinic (they were all spayed today)... took them back to Mom's house, then drove out to P&B's house. Her wonderful husband helped me get the birds into the pen, including catching 4 of them that got loose. P&B, your husband is a life saver! Got back IN the car, drove to my house, fed the chickens their nightly mash (the indoor ones), was there maybe 10 minutes then my Dad dropped off my daughter. I then had to pack them back in the truck, and drive to J's house so that I could get my car back.

J asked me to go get some milk for the breakfast in the morning. It's all I could do not to do this to him....

Ok, I'm going to try to post some pics of my FBC Marans that have hatched the last two days. There are 5 right now and 2 more pipping. I've wanted these SO bad....thank you Tandy... and I swore there would NEVER be any more chicks or hatching going on in my house. My kids would come over and hollar because of the smell. We didn't like it either but we didn't have any choice until we got the sportsman.

HOWEVER....MY MARANS ARE NOT GOING OUT SIDE UNTIL THEY GET BIGGER. And that's the truth!!!!! Kids can just tough it out. LOL Anyway, I wanted to post them for everyone to see. I'm so excited. I want to do everything right this time and don't want to lose them. Anything special I need to be reminded to do?

I also hatched some buff orps and one that I've forgotten what it is. I need help if anyone can identify it. It's the only one I've got like this.

MAllen He sure is a beauty,those games have the neatest neck hackles. Its like a full cape!Lots fuller than the OEGB.I think their stance is a little starighter to. Very impressive,I see why you like them so much. I may have to try them one day.We have a lot of standard games around here but I haven't seen the smaller version.

Faeri sure wish I was closer I'd help ya tomorrow. Its not an easy job but after you done it all your life like me its easy. Good luck ,I'm sure you can pull it off. Just think of it as an anatomy lesson so you can learn what makes your chickens tic(or cluck Lol)

I've had my sportsman going ever since I got it last fall. I usually hatch what I gather or duck eggs. It seems everytime I purchase eggs to hatch I end up losing them. I'm sure it's just me not being experienced enough. I would like to fill the bator up but I don't know where to really look for some eggs that aren't too expensive. Since we're going to be moving soon I have to be very careful on what I spend.
