Thanks Carla. I have no idea where Jared learned to line a chicken. I did show him the putting them to sleep trick.
I was amazed as everyone else I had never seen the line trick.

I just had some of P&B's honey too! Yummy! Jared wanted to open it andeat it on the way home but since he was a holding the trick rooster that Michael D. enabled with, I told him maybe we should wait until we could wash our hands.

Sure was good seeing everyone. I wish I could have visited with everyone more. It was nice meeting Laura. Al she may be on to something with the goose thing.

I also met b52fizzle who outbid me on the NN rooster.

Rebecca I hope the birds do well for you.

Monty...went to that guys house to get some of his eggs and he was trying to renig on the eggs. He showed me all around his hens and then when we started talking about getting "hatching" eggs the price suddenly went up from $3.50 to $5.00 a dozen. He said it was so much more trouble trying to keep the eggs out for hatching as he could put the eating eggs in the fridge. As we talked I found out he had BigOkie 9 dozen saved up in 5 days. I only live 2 miles from the guy so I told him to save him the trouble if he would call me I would come get them and he didn't have to do anything...that way I could just pay the $3.50 for them. He started talking about the cost of what it cost to feed, etc. and he was going to have to raise the price on them. I asked him how he was going to get more than $3.50 for eating eggs. He then said he would or he wouldn't sell them.

I wanted to say"Buddy, you better be prepared to eat a bunch of eggs then". He then said just this one time he would sell them to me for $3.50. I figure he decided to jack the price up after BigOkie got 9 dozen and he would just put it to me. He probably won't need to worry about being "just this one time" cause it will only be this one time. I can't stand when people try to take advantage. Really ticked me off.

Hi any peeps that are still here.

I had a long day starting at 4:30! I met up with POCO & we went to the Collinsville swap. I really enjoyed visiting on the way there & back. We saw bigokie there & I got a mess of hatching eggs from him and another person. Got to help Chuck out by fitting through the back window of his truck.....yeah think on that..... no really he hit the lock on the door by accident. I was glad to help him out. Got back in time to go to Madison's goat show, she didn't do as well as she would of liked......Good thing she is going to chickens. LOL. Then it was off to see my mom while she is in town. I am just now getting home! I don't think I can last long, I have church in the morning!

My crew and I got home and all the birds are put up. Both girls are asleep.

Thanks to the Cement Show crew. It was an excellent show. We all appreciate all the hard work everyone put into entire ordeal. You guys handled the weather issues great and the personal touch of calling all the exhibitors was super. I loved the way the judge talked to the crowd about his final decisions. It took the guessing out of his choices and I felt it gave insight to what he was looking for. We really look forward to the next show you will be holding in the Fall.

It was nice meeting and talking with all the Okie BYCers. Junebug, Muesky, mg, gb1 (he is full of great information!), County & her husband (you really need to come back to us) and of course Grace & Garry. Al popped in for a moment but he was running so fast he was just a blur. I hope I didn't miss anybody.

Thanks so much to Michael for the carrying box. It's awesome! I can guarantee you it will get a LOT of use.

Gerald, you just don't know how happy you made a little girl today. Don't be surprised if Corey starts using Cornish for Showmanship.

We thought about going to the Blanchard auction while in the area but when we got everything in the SUV it was TOTALLY full. The only way I could of bought anything was to tie a child on the luggage rack and I just know either one of them would of been screaming the entire way.

Donna that sounds really crappy! I got eggs from bigokie today! There were other guys up there that also had eggs, you don't need his eggs anyways, there are always others that will be glad to sell them for 3.00 a dozen!

Yea that sucks when folks do that... I hope the eggs work out for you though..

I am glad you all had a great time at the Auction, believe it or not we were eating supper when Jason was like lets go to the auction.. I had to remind him of us tearing into the bathroom and that at this moment an auction would not be a good thing to do ha ha... So yep I was one bad hen telling the Roo and lil chicks NO AUCTION...

Happy to say it paid off not going...

we went to place new faucets in the bathroom sink(his and her ) when we spotted pin hole leaks in the plumbing so that meant we needed to have what would be our 2nd Home Depot Run for the day, so Jason left and came home with all new plumbing only to realize that some of the stuff he bought was not the right size
barnie.gif
so we stopped the plumbing bit and decided to patch the wall where the bath mirror used to be (big hole where a vanity light must have been at some point only to be replaced with a huge mirror that went the length of the wall but not same width as the bath sink ect... but hey we got to see some really retro wall paper from the 40's ha ha ha...

Anyhoot that was our home adventure for this evening... I wonder if I should continue these home adventures everytime we embark on one it leads us to many visits to home depot and the bank..lol I think I should live in denial regarding this house eh.... what do you think?

♥ Jeannie

It's okay. You have to sell when you can. We will all meet up at the POOPS/COOPS at the latest anyway. Hope everything sold on the high side!
