The way they dance at the dances today is so pathetic that NO ONE should be allowed to dance in public. But I do have to agree with you Monty....proms are over rated. You spend lots of money and it's blown in one night. We really did have a wonderful prom my junior year. We had a sponsor that believed in utilizing things and making them. We built an indoor gazebo with a fountain in the middle, had a starlight sky, etc. The manager at the place we had it at said it was the best event that she had ever seen since she had been there and she'd been there 27 years. Just sayin....

See you had a fountain, you could have had ducks.
Come on you don't even have to think outside the box for that!

Proms are dumb...and yes I went to lots! Ours was a junior / senior prom...went to 3 at my high school and 2 at other schools

We will have at lest three or four trucks with spears and usually at least one bale loaded and sometimes a stock trailer or two...and that is just from the school board members

Now how romantic would it be to have a white gazebo with a beautiful fountain and colored lights....then ducks flippin and flappin splashin water in every directions on the girls dresses!

Well you have heard the old proverb

"Teach a man to fish and he will know where to go when his wife wants him to do something else!"

And to quote another famous man

"just sayin"

You know Jesus fed a multidude witha couple of fish and some bread.
Plus most of those guys that followed him around were fisherman and they practically lived in a desert.

I take from that to mean that fishin is mighty important.

There is a joke here somewhere?

I was afraid (or maybe hopeful) that mine was the only mind that locked onto that.

My poor DH would have starved cause he doesn't like fish very well. He does like to go fishing and he really is good at it....just doesn't have anyone to go with now that my dad has passed away. We used to go to the Roaring River trout fishing and what a time we would have. I wouldn't trade those memories for anything.
