Robin are those grey in color??? They look just like what I got as SLW.

These girls have legs that look yellowish pink. I'll see if tonight I can get a pic of them side/back/legs if they'll stop windmilling their legs when I pick them up

If there legs are yellowish with a slight green tint then they are EE's.... The coloring looks like an EE.

That's the thing. The legs don't have a tint to them yet, unless you count a pinkish one. They don't have a green tint. If anything, the tint may be bluish. No, I'm not colorblind.

I don't really need to know what they are... I figure that I'll find out when they're grown. Chicks are just too difficult to tell with any certainty, it appears.

When I had EE chicks I couldnt see a green tint either, then I would grab one of my other chicks that had yellow legs and compare, then I could see the tint. if you cant tell that is fine, eventually you will find out what they are ..lol

Yeah I don't have anything to compare them with... no chicks in the house other than the RIR chicks, and I didn't think to pick up one of them and compare.

I'm hoping the much better/stronger camera will help me out this evening. If it doesn't, no big deal. They're cute

Oh, funny story. My daughter knows I won't do the whole "cutesy" animal names, like Sunflower or Fluffy or Bluebonnet. So she asked me yesterday if she could name the new hen Mirasol. I about died laughing and told her she could, simply because she'd figured out that a mirasol is a sunflower

Have to give her points for creatively figuring out how to name one of our hens Sunflower!

I think:
Breed her to a rooster from a blue-egger, and their pullets should lay "dirty" blue eggs. Breed one of the pullets back to the father, or to another rooster from blue-eggers, and you should have it! The rooster determines a good part of the egg color.
