I had about 4 1/2 inches taken off it, and it's permed so it's drawn up a bit. So yeah, my hair is a decent length.

Evening....welll I played with birds most of the day. The wife abandoned us boys...went to do a deal for a Walk deal.

I live on the frozen tundra and don't have stuff insulated...I use lights on my young bird pens and have a heater deal but it only there for the water.

I put some roos in lock down. i don't think I will get to make the spring break birthday bash blanchard event...we are gonna have are once a year auction up here the first weekend of April...bye bye roos!...unless prices are really low then I will buy buy buy and bring them to a crazy chicken tradin' guy I know!

I've had my hair every length from completely shaved to waist length. I'm growing it back out to waist length.

I'm down to 13 chicks in the brooder

Gonna have to separate out the red broilers tomorrow and put them under a different lamp so they can get the right feed.

Hi everyone, well to update everyone, I am working full time now for a few months.
I got my Porter turkeys paid for so I am on the early June list for 60 of his babies.
Drummm roll:weee I got my Chocolates,Auburn, Jersey Buff,Oregon Gray,White Holland,Harvest Gold or Fall Fire, one he did not have so get got changed but I don't remember which way. Getting Lilac from another place he didn't have any.
I got a BIG BATOR with egg turner this week from a lady in Caney,Ks. Now just have to see if it fit in the horse trailer. It was new when the Emu's crashed and she used it a few times for chickens and ducks. Got it for $350 Holds temp and is working fine. Hold 400 eggs.
I know I don't need it now but in a couple years I will. They sure won't be cheaper.
I had to go to work to support the ground floor of getting the pure operation started.
Don is half finished with my bigger new chicken tractor. Got to get it finished then move all the chickens in it. Clean the smaller chicken tractor. Because that where my Belted White go after they leave my kitchen. They come in 2 weeks from Or. They are pure, too, out of some of the first Belted White stock. They are Brain Decker's stock. He a Judge and travels all over the country doing Poultry shows. I think with a little corral they could go in it with a heat light at 6 weeks. I never raise the little turkeys but I figure they be the size of a small bantam. There only 15 in this group. White Holland coming from Co in April ( 15 )
My husband wants to know if I plan to cook any this spring or just use it to raise baby turkeys in. Told him he didn't starve last Spring so don't figure he will this spring.
Still looking for guard dogs but it coming together slowly.
My Vet catalog came today and I saw where Electric poultry netting dropped $40 from last year. It $109 for 3 foot by 150.
My chicken think it spring, I am getting 24 eggs a day, last summer I got 9. Come summer I get 9 again,I guess.
Will got to work tomorrow after church so better go get some rest. Not used to putting in 8 hours. I haven't worked full time in years. But I work 40 hours a week but have 7 days to get my hours in. I was off yesterday and today so got to get 6 hours in tomorrow.
Night all

wish we could have gone to Blanchard and Jason asked when we wanted to go but I held back and said naw we need to finish what we were trying to acomplish today.. in fact the fire is still dying out.... just hot coals right now.... we are all beat and sun burned... again... I think the heat from the brush burning today just melted off the 70 SPF sunscreen I was applying...

Well I opted to skip the auction and spend the evening with some friends. They have been having a rough time, so I decided to take them out to dinner. I spent the evening at their house catching up. So how is everyone doing this evening?

I live a little further NE of you but all my coops are uninsulated, I do put lights out but they are only for my younger chickens, and my bantam breeds and havent lost any yet

I am almost straight East of you and mine are not and they did fine in the cold.

I'm ready to drive the truck up to my front door, throw everything in the bed (minus the t.v., dvd player, sofa and the computers) and haul it all to the dump. Seriously. I have too much stuff for a 700sf house. This is ridiculous.

Well, I wouldn't throw out the chicks.

Guess I should add that, huh?
