Faerie...get some Muskovies...they don't quack...just hiss.

i looked at them, but by the end of march they'll be illegal in the US....

hey sooner, how yah feeling? not sure how they keep flies in check unless they consider them a treat?

Robin...are you saying the Muskovys are going to be illegal or did I read it wrong?

Interesting, my chickens do that. Guess I will stick with them.

How have you been wayne?? I think I have eggs to hatch next weekend!

I'm not sure how I feel yet this morning. For the last three days I just feel weird in the morning & get worse as the day goes on. I have my oldest home throwing up & Madison is back home & will be starting breathing treatments today.....I am waiting to see if I will be able to eat or drink anything. I had coffee yesterday & that was it.

(g) You may not acquire or possess
live muscovy ducks, their carcasses or
parts, or their eggs, except to raise them
to be sold as food, and except that you
may possess any live muscovy duck that
you lawfully acquired prior to March
31, 2010. If you possess muscovy ducks
on that date, you may not propagate
them or sell or transfer them to anyone
for any purpose, except to be used as
food. You may not release them to the
wild, sell them to be hunted or released
to the wild, or transfer them to anyone
to be hunted or released to the wild.

in sure orneryness, i'd like to have a couple prior to the end of the month!!

Sooner ,hopeing for a good hatch for you,I finally have two broodys setting! Doing pretty good. Been kinda down and slow lately, new meds. They wore off at 4 this morning so I have been up watching morning come to the farm! first all the banty roos did their crowing(my neighbors must love/hate me!LOL) then Buster started whinning that him and Toullie needed to go out, then I watched all the pigeons come out and strut around in the first rays of sun. Going to warm up today finally. Maybe I can get enough energy to start some yard work.

I know I was upset that I couldn't but I was feeling so bad. We didn't even get the chickens washed for this weekend. I guess I will have to try to get that done today.

I sure hope you feel better Wayne. I hate being sick or feeling like this. I have woke up on & off all night so I will get a nap at some point.

I'm planning to attend the NPIP testing class in Tahlequah. I like the idea of having a group lunch and then a chicken and egg swap afterwards. If we have enough interest, I think it would be like a mini reunion for BYC folks.
