I had a very busy day today. Got up a little after 6 am this morning, unloaded the truck of cow manure, went to Collinsville and met with Poco and did some chicken trading, went back to Blackburn and got some viddles my in-laws picked up for me and got more manure for garden, came back home unloaded truck of manure and chickens/chicks, did some gardening, went to Baseball game, picked Char up from swimming b-day party, went to her basketball game, went had some Mexican food and came home. I am tired and my head started hurting after Collinsville and has been killing me most of the day. I am thinking it is something in the air. My eyes are hurting so I am not going to stay on too long on here. I hope everybody had a really good day! Mine was beautiful and I had great conversation with Poco.

glad you are feeling better sooner- yep, we are doing some expansion building... barny will have a dozen gals in his harem... and the banties will need bigger quarters- but for now, here is their temporary coop on the porch with the LB girls in the lower section-

It was a nice auction at Cement this evening. Lots of birds and lots of Okies. Enjoyed visiting with Henney and Mike, Al, Buster52, OldTownChickens, Michael Daugherty, Carla and Gerald, Doc and Renia, and Michael introduced me to GoldRose(?) who doesn't post very frequently.

I was astonished that the 3 EE hens I took sold for $17 each, particularly since I had told the young man who purchased them - prior to the sale - that one was laying a tan egg, one hadn't yet begun to lay eggs and one lays a ??? egg. I sure am glad that he asked me about them prior to the sale and I was able to tell him about them. They were gorgeous hens, but I would have felt badly if someone had purchased them for that price, believing they would only get blue eggs.
