Good morning. Lots of posts very good job, sorry couldnt be here yesterday had a baby shower.

Heard this noise out at the pond, a familiar sound, looked out there 3 wild geese have taken over the pond. Well they flew off just now, I was thinking OH NO Npip is in 2 days how am I going to explain them to the testers.

I feed Red River Grain layer pellets. At 20% protein, the cost of $9.75 per bag is great.

For chicks, I feed grated boiled eggs and ground layer. I use a silver bullet to grind up the pellets to whatever consistency needed. I'm don't use medicated feed on my chicks. I try to make my birds (eggs) as additive free as possible.

I made it a whole 1hr and 40 minutes at work this morning before I had to call it quits. My daughter got sick thursday and I took care of her and now i have whatever she had. My stomach feels like someone kicked me repeatadly. First time ive had to call in or leave work early is over 2 years

I grew up in Turpin. From town look south 1 section and there is a big grain mill you can see that is my grandparents feedlot. and the house on the south east corner of the 83 and 54 (or is it 64) hiways was my great grandfathers house my 2nd cousins live there now.

We had just about given up on getting any hatch out of
our GQF after having the temp problems. But, have two
trays finally hatching. Mostly Cinnamon Queen/Americana
cross so far, but who cares? I'm thinking that the Old English
birds are still young, so may be a while before we get good
stout chicks from them. There is one little black OE in there,
and another of TJ's AI'd white cochins. Hope the CQ/A chicks
don't step on them. They're only about half the size.

There may be something to what was said earlier. If I was
a little chick all snuggy in there, I wouldn't want to come out
until it warms up next week either.....LOL

Have a good one !

The new family owned purina store here in mustang I asked for unmedicated chick feed it was an order only item owner did not understand why until he tried to get some took almost 3 weeks as he had to get it from Michigan or Minnisota because they do not produce it at any of the purina mills closer well he ordered 15 bags it was gone before I got in there but he did tell me he will be ordering MUCH MUCH more if it as he has a waiting list of at least 20 people for it now he could not understnad why people wanted the unmedicated and I finally gave up trying to explain it but hopefully they will start carrying it now.

I couldn't find unmedicated chick starter at Atwoods last week when I checked. Maybe they have it now. I'll check at the Sand Springs Atwoods this morning when I drop by to JUST LOOK at their baby peeps.

That is for sure, hard to "just look". i am not allowed into any store that sells chicks by my self. When I went to feed store last sunday Had the "BOSS" with me so only just looked. Good thing there was nothing in there that stuck me that I wanted any.

All my kids are grown well they are past the age of 18 we will just say that. Now IF I took the grandson, OH NO there would not be any chicks left at the store. He is my chick catcher here when they get loose.

Mine are 13,10 and 8. I can still get away with it. We went twice last week to Atwoods to see if we could find some leg bands and came home with 2 ducks and a box full of chickies!! I think the husband knows its gonna happen so he's quit giving me "those looks".
