Sherri, I won't be going to the auction this time. I was going, but since Carla cannot make it, I realized that I really don't need any more hatching eggs, and that's usually all we stay long enough to see

Will you have any Welsummer chicks for sale this spring?

TJ's Na-Na :

Just in conversation....LOL....mentioned to Pa-Pa that this
swap meet deal was going to be held at a KOA campground
now.....just on the outskirts of OKC. And, went ahead and
mentioned that I'd bet that my cousin's son would bring the
new baby out there by then so I could see him.....and that
I "wondered" if the Cowboy Hall of Fame would be open on
Sunday afternoon so that we could take the kids to see it
on the way home.......................... Yup, "sometimes" there's
method to my madness. So far, the only response I've gotten
was, "oh really".

He's still taking the traction therapy, hoping to ward off
surgery, so............... But, if you don't plant the seed, you ain't
gonna get squat.................... Still looks doubtful, but sure
sounds like fun. Will be watching for details.

Have a good one !

I am a firm believer in doing a little "gardening" every now and again. Got to plant those seeds so the Spouse can decide it was his idea all along.

Dandelion, have you changed out the wafer temperature regulator on the styrofoam bator? For about $7 you may be able to get it stabilized. Since I put a little bleach in the water I keep in the bottom of the incubator, to prevent mold and disease, I have to change out the wafer every year or two because they get corroded. I try to keep an extra one at the house - hard cooked eggs are very disappointing.

So Okies, whats for dinner tonite. I know most of you already ate but it just dont happen that we eat before 8pm and sometimes later here. Fixing to sit down to some Country style ribs slathered in bullseye. Oven baked, not as good as what I do on the grill but good enough for tonite.

You must be feeling lots better.....Super ! We seem to run
about the same schedule here regardless of intentions.
Nothing exciting over here across the highway....LOL......
homemade chicken enchiladas, chicken fried rice and collard
greens........, but settled the natives so I can play on here.......
LOL............ Pa-Pa is the BBQ'd rib fanatic in our family......
Have you been to My Place BBQ just up from Co-op? ......
usually really good.............

Have a good one !

I aint ate at myplace bbq in a few years, i did love it though. I also liked runts when it was in keys but when it moved by Myplace i never ate there and now its closed. Have you tried chilangoes? Its down by sears, good mexican food and a good price.

I wish we had leftovers, hubby finishes them off whether I make 6 or 12, he always eats them all!

And enchiladas are good leftover food..... I wish he would eat the all the mexican soup he insists I make.... I don't like it, its his mom's recipe.... it always seems to just sit there in the fridge for a week before going to the dogs.....

I will try to get some pictures tomorrow and post them. I do have fertilized eggs, but my husband just sold nearly all I had today to a guy at work. I really want to hatch them out but I am not thrilled with the rooster I have in there with them. He is an EE/RIR mix and has a single comb and no beard and muff (his brothers do though), so I don't know if he would still produce the Blue Laced Red factor.

I really want to hatch some wellies and some of the EE but I don't have a bator yet. But I certianly am willing to sell some for someone else to hatch.

Thank you for the welcomes.
