Morning Stephanie, Al, Monty and anyone else I forgot!

Well it is cool and humid outside this morning which is not a bad combination. Better then hot and humid. I am going to have to buy another chainsaw today, I can not get the gas powered to start and we have some hugh branches that fell in the last storm. Let me tell you guys I am feeling really blessed right now. The top of one of the trees by the grow out pen fell over and landed opposit of the coop and pens. If it had fell the other way I would be cleaning up dead chicks and chickens right now.

So Steph are you and Carl going to Fletcher tonight? I think a trip to Fletcher is sounding really fun. Uli has to work tonight and I really do not want to stay home alone.

Going to bring the "rat on a rope" (Stella) with me. She sure is turning out to be a really good dog. Smart, fearless, sweet and is quick to learn her job here. I keep telling her she is going to have to be a world class chicken dog and earn her keep here. I think she understood, she started chewing my fingers.

Better go get some stuff done or take a nap before I have to leave to head to the auction. I am really excited, it has been a while since I have been to an auction.

Have a good day all!

Rebecca : I have to advise you that you are on the Nacho watch list, issued by all auction house owners. They have your photo and a brief description of your Nacho aquiring technics, and have limited your Nacho purchases to no more than 10 servings per evening so as not to drive up the Nacho market................... Just thought you should know................

Hey Sooner, Wake up and smellthe coffee!

Al, Just doing stuff around here. There is always more than I feel like doing.
Somehow you appeared in my dream last night. All I can remember is that you were chasing some guy that was wearing the same color (red) of shirt as you. Ya'll looked like two red blurs running through the trees.
The when the guy you were chasing ran by me, I roped him.
Thats all I remember. I don't know what he had done or if you killed him, or what.
Guess I'll have to wait for sequal.

Muesky, I don't remember what kind of dog you have. We'll probably be looking for a dog before long, and would be happy for suggestions. It'll have to be an outdoor dog, and have potential to be good with the birds. It will have lots of shelter outdoors in addition to its house.

Hi everyone. Today's Gerald's Birthday! Too bad I didn't get out of bed to say goodbye to him before he left this morning to drive his army truck in a parade in Del City, but I was too tired.

I have to work MANDATORY overtime 10 hours tonight and 10 hours tomorrow night and I'm exhausted

If anyone has sent messages, I'll try to get to them tonight at work when I have some free time.

Well, I'd better go feed & water some of the critters before I head back to work.

I hope everyone is enjoying this spring weather and to all of you that get the opportunity to go to an auction tonight .... HAVE LOTS OF FUN !!!!

One of the things with which I am VERY familiar is that we tend to read what we thought we said and when in a hurry, can omit an important word that results in the wrong meaning to the sentence. Far be for me to criticize someone's typing mistake.

Besides, at 6:30 yesterday morning I was eating breakfast at Ruby's in Purcell, while enroute to College Station, so never got on BYC yesterday at all. I am trying to catch up today so I can recover from my BYC withdrawal.

I enjoy my llamas, although I have never spent the time to train them as I should, so that they could be led with a halter. If you get a chance, you might want to consider adding an adult llama to help train Tina. Adults teach the crias the basics of being a llama so that the young llamas behave as they should when adults. Given an opportunity, crias will nurse for more than a year. They are very social animals and like goats, I have always heard it is best to have two rather than only one.

You could probably get one fairly inexpensively a the auction coming up in Prague on Saturday May 22. They are bringing in llamas from a ranch in Colorado and they will even have pedigrees with them - yet if past experience is any indication, will be reasonably priced. I sold 5 llamas in January at Prague and they all sold for less than $100 and my wonderful pedigree male sold for only $40

The parade was apparently huge. I was trying to go to the post office about 11:50 and the parade, which began at 10am, still had traffic blocked on SE 29th in Del City.

Sorry you have to work mandatory overtime this weekend

He has sold all of his other livestock and just wants to find a nice place for the donkey.
He said it is very gentle.

Afternoon everyone. Very hot and humid here today. our local Strawberry festival is this weekend. Too hot for me. Wife went to watch grandsons play tag football and watch parade with daughter. I went to wally world and got pool stuff and fresh strawberries for shortcake. They are cheaper there than the local berries!
Got up early and shifted chicks around. Have two hjens hatching their second batches. I am taking them away and will let the hens come off the nest and rest up. They will be laying and setting again by end of summer. Have about twenty five or so babys now. Sure like the rock chicks, they are so big and strong!Well you all have a great time at the auctions tonight.
