How are you doing this morning Pretty Lady? And I am on my third pot of coffe but have to leave for work in just a few minutes.

We missed you at the sale Saturday. Sorry you couldn't be here, we had a great sale and great time. OUSCRAZYKATE came down, what a sweet lady.

The genetically enhanced cockrels do retain the hackle feathers and pass the genes on to their offspring unless you miss the flock with other outsiders. To find more information, just 'Google' "genetically enhanced chickens". There is a lot of information and a couple of short stories that come up that will perk your interest as well.

Good morning Okies!!

I think momma raccoon and babies got into my Porcelain OEGB pen Sunday night. They killed all but 1 rooster, and he is messed up. Last night we baited live traps and leg traps and nothing. Maybe we will catch them tonight.

Morning Hi-Jacker,

'Got a question for you, how does your Fletcher Poultry Auction work?
The reason I ask, Last part of June or sometime in July, I would like to bring down my "extra" Buckeye cockerels....they will be 3-4 months by then and should start showing their true color schemes.

DW decided that since this was our first batch, that we could not see how they tasted...so I thought that I'd try them on the auction block to see how they would do.

If this wasn't a "family" site...I could tell lots of stories that started with...."And there I was..."

Well, when you do decide to take them, let me know and I'll be there ready to bid. I've been wanting to get my hands on some Buckeye for a while now.

This is Peaches,

Just bring them down. You will consign them and recieve a consignment record. We auction them off to the highest bidder. If they do not sell for what you want for them, you just "PO" them and take them back home and we charge Nothing. If they sell, we charge 15% of what they sold for. You get paid the same day they sell.

the G-E birds were breed from a large assortment of primarily Barred stock. Then breed in large groups selected only for long saddle feathers, size, type, and color played no role as this was not important to the Fly tieing industry. the Saddle will stay very long so long as they retain the breeding required. ...
