Robin the Amprolium is also known as Corid and here is the info on it.

Treatment:
1-teaspoon amprolium (20 percent) per gallon drinking water for 5 days (this is not an antibiotic)
Also a broad spectrum antibiotic to guard against secondary infections, ask your vet what they have available
Following this treatment, give multi vitamin supplement (especially A and K)

The Sulmet is a scours med listed either for hogs or cattle and will be in the livestock section of the store. I will have to do some digging on the dosage however.

Ok here is the Sulmet info, this excerpt that follows is from this page.

http://www.drugs.com/vet/sulmet-drinking-water-solution-12-5.html

Dosage: Poultry
Add 2 tablespoons (1 fl oz) to each gallon of drinking water, or the contents of the 16 fl oz container to 16 gallons, or the contents of the 1 gallon container to 128 gallons. Following administration directions below, this will provide a recommended dose of approximately 61 to 89 mg/lb/day (134 to 196 mg/kg/day) body weight in chickens and 53 to 130 mg/lb/day (117 to 286 mg/kg/day) body weight in turkeys, depending upon the dosage, age and class of chickens or turkeys, ambient temperature, and other factors.

Nope, didn't make the first two but was at the last three. Desert Storm was my war.

Were you an 03 by chance? Did you get your CAR?

-Stimp-

I was not an 03. My MOS was 2131 which is towed arty systems mech, however at the time I went to Desert Storm I was already in the reserves and a police officer so I was quickly assigned to a forward unit that dealt with anyone or anything left that needed to be treated as POW. I do have a CAR as well as a PUC and several others. With that said my war was basically a 100 hour rout, and can in no way be compared to yours. I will end by saying that me and my fellow Marines received the homecoming that you and your fellow Marines should have received. With that you have my gratitude for your service and for the example your era of Marines set for my era of Marines.
Semper Fi,
Stew...

Well Stew,

I guess we can still be friends even tho you weren't an 03. You earned the title and that's more than most can say. I can tell you that the Marines of my era are very proud of you guys. When that war started and it was all over the TV, there wasn't one of us that wouldn't have given everything to be right there with you. You did us proud. Semper Fi, and welcome home.

Robin, it's not a quiet one, but that babe was so far gone, I doubt it even noticed it. I feel sure it was minutes from death. You can generally see a breath or a heartbeat, or feel one, but with this babe there was NOTHING. It had two sizable (for its size) pieces of pine chips--one on each side of its beak--IN its beak, as well as others all over it. It was really, really pitiful.

Mine are somewhat afraid of the blow dryer, but the ones that I've bathed seem to like it after just a bit, unless it's blowing in their faces.

Queen Peaches or Doc, does Montana happen to wear a size 8 boot? There's a lady on a local yahoo group that has four pairs of boys boots in that size. There is even a john deere pair! $15 a pair. I'm sure I could get them to you...

Thanks so much for the valuable information, Stimp. I'm thinking so many things may have been explained now. I'll look up that information and see where this heads.

You're a good man.

Robin,

Next time you need chicken meds you should go to MFA feeds, they have better prices & most anything you will look for. They carry the liquid corid in smaller bottles.

sulmet has the dosage on the bottle......

I haven't read back to any of the post but sulmet didn't work for me in treating Cociliousis. (spelling??)
