Okies in the BYC The Original

Good morning!
I am looking for some newly hatched chicks - about 6 of almost any variety- for a kindergarten incubation project that had a terrible hatch rate. Anyone of you enablers close to OKC with some that fit the bill- that will sell them to me for about $2 each? The 2 eggs in the kindergarten class hatched Monday, but their teacher is thinking about leaving the eggs in place over the weekend and having new chicks replace the eggs over the weekend..... I had one chick hatch on Monday - I thought it was a guinea egg which is why it was in my incubator - and the children were thrilled to have a new chick hatch while they were on a field trip yesterday. (and it did hatch - just not in their incubator) As long as the chicks are no more than a few days old, they will work to satisfy the kids who want to see newly hatched chicks. There were all colors of eggs in the incubator so they are not expecting any particular color. Thank you! Please send me a PM if you can help me out.

Carl's arm is doing much better. He finally stopped doing alot with it and is having me wrap it daily with an ace bandage then he puts his brace on. The swelling has gone down and tha pain is very little. he is also putting ice on it at night before he goes to bed.

Im getting ready to pull chicks out of the hatcher today if you are interested. they are Ameraucanas, different colors.

Thank you Stephanie - those sound exactly what I need. I will eventually end up with the chicks after the class project is finished and I personally love Ameraucanas and had given the class green eggs from 4 different hens. I sent you a PM.

Morning folks! A little sun this morning before the rain starts again. Just went out and set another hen. That makes five. I lost three babies last night. I think they got to cool and huddled. I am going to bring the littlest OEGB's in the house. They are so tiny the rock bantams just run over them.

Queen/Doc thanks for the auction pics. Looks like you have a great sale going there. I would love to do that.

Robin I don't know who is more spoiled,my Taco dog or your gosling!lol. You know its going to grow up thinking you belong to it! I wonder how trainable they are.

Sooner hope you got some rest and keeping all in our prayers.

Be glad when Faeri gets done with her classes so she will be able to join us again. Missing her morning contributions!

We appreciate the thought but Mr Hot Dog is in a size 11 and nearly a 12. His feet are huge for his age.

He out-grew size 8 about Nov of last year.

Too bad, they are cute boots! 11 or 12 is the size my youngest nephew wears too.
