Good Morning Everyone...long time no see. LOL Hey Doc...

You been staying out of trouble? Dumb question huh...LOL Sure have missed everyone. I want to come to some auctions now that school is out. I need to sell some birds bad.

I've been so busy that all I have time for is to get on and lurk at night. We are in the process of getting everything together to build a house. We decided to build rather than buying a double wide. We're scared to death but we know it's the right decision. I had no idea there was so much to do when you do this. I've been told that I haven't seen anything yet.

Hope everyone has been doing well. I've been trying to keep up with everything but not doing such a great job of it.

Well, got to go finish cleaning out my parents home so the movers can come get the house. Can't start the house until it's moved.

Well, I'm up and going. Nearly finished chicken chores... Late last night I went on a shopping spree at Lowes. I set snake traps when I got home. Ran them first thing this morning. No snakes...

They have the easy alternative right now. I might even relocate them if caught that way. If this doesn't work I will have to go snake fishing... {Thanks for the PMed suggestion} I don't want to have to resort to that but I'll do what I have to.

I'm making snake proof pens. Today, I will built the prototype. I think they will look pretty nice without a ton of work. I'm building them on 2x10 runners so I can move them with the tractor. Wire floors so we can wash and toss the show chickens, wood walls, metal roofing, all rabbit wire so any snake that could get in will not be able to swallow a chicken head. I'm sorry I'm picturing a grass snake trying to swallow a chicken beak.

A snake that size is called chicken food.

We are getting ready to leave on a mini vacation and I have Buckguy packing our clothes, Kronk smoking some meat, the other guy is getting the fishing gear together and I am sitting here where it is cool drinking an ice cold Coca-Cola.

POOPS babies are all hatched. The Ameraucanas are amazing. I've never seen such BIG chicks before. Who put the Ameraucanas eggs in the for profit auction? Let me know. I want to be able to tell people where I got the eggs from so I can send interested folks your way. There are three pure white chicks in the group. They shoulder their way into the middle of the group under the brooder heater, squat, and then use other chicks for pillows. I hope they are bossy pullets. I'd hate to have to decide which to keep if they are all cockerels.
