I been taking care of egg orders all day. The guy that bought birds this morning did bring our cage back. I need egg cartons!!!

How does one get into showing? I am trying to do different things with the kids outside of normal lessons and at home farm life... got any suggestions on what one must do to get in the circuit and any tips for newbies interested in that?

Thanks, Jeannie. It was quite an adventure. I kept thinking during the whole thing that if nothing else, I was going to get a good story out of the whole deal. Not exactly a Charlotte's Web/Wilbur kinda story, but a story nonetheless.

When he asked me for help butchering it, I didn't have the heart to tell him it's a little late to ask. What if I said no??

But considering the look on his face, I wasn't about to do that.

And Al, about halfway through the deal I remembered you did this sort of thing, but by then the damage was done I think. It did make me decide to get a pig, though. So, there might just be an opportunity for you to earn that half a porker, yet.

Isn't this country life a grand one?
