Morning Sooner and all other Okie friends. Glad you had a nice evening off you deserve it.Granny watching is hard on anyone no matter how much you love them!

Just trying to cool down and catch my breath. Was out pulling weeds and spraying weed killer and almost got to hot. Made it to the shower to get the spray off me then jumped into the pool and cooled down, now under the airdition!Thats about as close as I want to get to over heating. Still shaking!lol.

Birds seem to be doing well despite the heat. Lots of shade and water and keeping ground damp.

Didn't make it to the garden yet to harvest, will have to wait till late this evening!.

Hi all! I hope everyone is staying safe in this weather...Doodle - be careful!

I've been working outside the past two days and have another day of it today. I've been mulching paths in my garden so I don't have to try to get the mower inside the fence. Scalped the grass in there with the weedeater to get it ready, then transplanted a bunch of volunteer tomato plants into pots, and added some pots of flowers for some color. I was so tired Sunday night after working in that hot sun. Yesterday I hauled and spread a truckload of red mulch. Today I'll drive out to the Tulsa green dump to get some city mulch - it's just ground up trees and stuff - not pretty, but FREE. I'll use this to fill in some holes and to level up the back corner of the garden. Then this winter I'll put in a new bed for strawberries and add load of dirt. I cleane out the chicken coop this morning and used the old shavings to fill more holes.

I've been lurking lots lately.

Hey Michael - I PM'd you.

Al - thinking and praying for Alyssa and your family.

Doc and Peaches - been praying for your family too -

Hey Michael. I'm glad you got a good hatch from those eggs. You may have the last chicks out of that line. I only have a trio left, but I gave my incubator away so I have no way to hatch any more. I hope you do well with them. If any turn out to be show quality, let me know how they do.

So, what kind of poultry do you have and what would you like to acquire?
