Yes, the cooler weather is very nice.
I too have had guineas hatching from a nest I broke up. I would have thought that they would all hatch within a few days of each other, instead of hatching one or two at a time over about a week of time.
Dean told me there is another nest of eggs out in the pasture, but I haven't found it yet. I will put it into the incubator when I find it.

heya everyone hope everyone has been good I myself finished up another big processing order last night. I got stuck doing it all by myself. But it all got done and seemed like I had myself on a good pace and it went faster then the first time with the family. I would say it took me aprox 7 min per bird Minus dunk and kill times. all and all was a good ol busy country night.

Hey everyone

I hope you are enjoying your SUNDAY we just got done having a sunday movie marathon watching the SHILOH Movies (ya know about the beagle and his boy) them are some good quality family movies there I am glad we watched them.

6 of our Black Americana's kicked the bucket in the past couple of days and I hope Corral is fairing well with hers..... I dont know what happened other than they were the ones that were not very bright to run into the coop when it started pouring those few days of rain... I had to pick them up and put them in there.... Natures way of down sizing our flock even more.. lol

My 3 mo. old bantam cochins that I put together yesterday are starting to get along better. I'm just an "old Mother Hen".
I put up a temporary fence for my escape artist. She must have jumped from the top of the coop to the top of the end of the pen, about 5 feet. She sure did want back in. Of course that didn't mean that she was easy to catch.
