Congrats on reaching the 70K mark, That's just awesome!! I should have been on around then but was outside enjoying the cool night air I'm really liking the better weather. Built a set of laying nest boxes last night from a microwave cabinet I didn't have use for. It has 8 holes and is in place for girls to check out, I'm heading out to play in the chicken pens for a while Have a great day everyone

Donnie - thanks for the photos of your new Lavender Orps - they are really pretty - glad you got them!

Poco Pollo - one of the blue Marans I got from you was on the nest yesterday - first time I'd seen her - she gave me a BIG dark egg - I'm sure it's a double-yolker. Anyway - I was surprised her first egg was so big. I really am enjoying the birds I got from you - thank you again!

I haven't been close to the computer much this weekend - glad to see how chatty everyone has been - was fun catching up!!

Guinea keets are hatching today, and likely for several days. I wasn't really expecting them yet, but wasn't sure when as theya re eggs I pulled from two nests that hens were sitting on during the daytime for a couple of days. Haven't checked since this morning to see how many and what colors. Hadn't pulled the turner nor raised the humidity. I did turn the turner off so it wouldn't catch any.

This cooler weather IS wonderful, isn't it?

Hi Betsy, happy to report that the guineas I got from you are doing great, I haven't lost a one yet, I did lose a few of the ones I got at the auction but have several growing good, still have them in with my Cuckoo Marans chicks, the Marans are starting to out grow them but I still have all the Lavenders and the One Coral Blue. They are up way bigger than quail now! Thanks, Lynn

Just talked to Lou, Stimp's wife. He has been moved to a rehab center here in OKC, is able to walk with his walker and is slowly regaining strength. She said he thanks everyone for their prayers and good wishes. He still has a ways to go before he can go home, but he is getting closer to that goal. He doesn't have a laptop to get on line, but I am going to go by tomorrow afternoon and visit with him for a little while, so if you have anything you want him to know - either post it or send me a PM and I will convey the message.
