Calling those of you who're Jurassic chicken lovers!

I need suggestions on how to get my largest Malay hen to lay viable eggs. In her 4 -5 years of life, she's laid a total of three eggs. Two were soft-shelled & she wasn't in my possesion when she laid the other. If your suggestion works, I'll be ever greatfull! Might even gift you a pair of her offspring out of my White malay stag, if that strikes your fancy.

Awesome. Is there an official membership or do you just hang out and swap poultry?

You are already a memeber!

We have a big get together in the spring usually April/May where we have a potluck dinner, auction, swap & goodtimes, you can go to my page & see the list of activities & I have pictures somewhere, I will add a link as soon as I find it.

Ok, Okies in the BYC, I need your help! I need to know all I can about the Shawnee show (how to get there once you get to town, what time does it start?). I've never been to a poultry show before, or to Shawnee before! I'm coming from Stillwater. I am also looking for someone who could bring me two white bearded silkie pullets I could take home with me to spoil and love. I have been ready for them for a few months now. Everything's all set up and I can't wait! I've been absolutely living on BYC for awhile now learning everything I can, and obsessing over chickens (very happily I might add). I had black bantam cochins as a kid, and have missed having chickens all these years since I grew up and had kids of my own. I had some little silkies all lined up to get, but now my new friend can't come to the show and lives too far away for me to drive to her house and get them. They certainly don't have to be show quality, but they do have to be young, sweet, healthy, and have a big fluffy crest. They will be my dear pets and will live out their (hopefully long) lives getting lots of treats and lap time. I live in a neighborhood so I absolutely cannot have a rooster; although I LOVE crowing, my neighbors would probably not. If anyone knows anyone who could bring me two little white silkie girls, PLEASE let me know! Thank you so much!
An obsessed wanna-be backyard chicken momma.
