Sooner - yup the correct procedure is to leave it alone...I have a real hard time following that advice...my wife always tells me...I thought you said that was bad to help

Okay - got a parenting question or household conversation or well is it just my family and I should be worried?

Here is the situation. One kid is wondering down the hall on all fours making pig noises...comes up to the Mom and says, "My brother has to tackle me and stab me." Mom says, "Oh." Then looks in at me and shakes her head. So, does this occur at other houses or is it just mine? He does have good form on the tackle...

Teach- found the easiest way to fix rice is in the microwave, get large microwave safe bowl and add two cups rice and four cups water, sprinkle with salt if preferred and put in microwave for ten minutes, stir and put back on for ten minutes, works every time, comes out perfect I think.May need a Cappuchin at Poops!!??
Monty- I am first in line for the SOEGs!!!! or atleast some eggs!!!!
My dad is in from Texas, gotta go visit a while, be back, Lynn

I am having a hard enough time keeping my nine year old from shooting his sister with his a rubber band gun. At least he hasn't tried the blow gun on her yet.

Two boys I don't know how you do it. I just took a shot to the arm. My son and used to play hunting trip. He would come in the room as some sort of animal and I would shoot him with some sort of toy gun, Whatever the gun of the day was. Styrofoam stun darts were the best.

I think boys can come up with all kinds of stuff. Mine when small always made me wonder what was going on inside those little brains.

I am sitting on my hands and doing nothing. I had one get stuck under the temp thingy so when I freed it, I took out several of the egg shells so there is alittle more room.

I think the guys have decided that shooting is "to easy"...they want to take it to that next level...hand to hand We have had so many darts and balls flying through the house...that is something that is done when the mom is not in the house! During the summer we play that while mom is at work!

The onl bad thing is when you forget a couple darts...that or we watch hunting shows and shoot the animals with suction cup darts...you gotta clean off the circles

At a big city school my kids would get thrown into counseling and out of school...they are always drawing pictures of a hunt and there are guns and knives and blood

I had to stop using one of my favorite sayings...Kid would get hurt and I say. "Do I need to cut it off?" Youngest was offering to go get dad's knife to cut off wounded parts of friends

My wife can't leave them alone, she helps all the ones that are in the shell all day and have saved a lot of chicks. she just removes the shell a little at a time being careful not to move the chick. once the upper part is off, they finish on their own..

Hey Teach,

I was talking to my grandson about "the good ol' days" and he couldn't believe that when I was a kid, we could carry pocket knives to school. I told him that every little boy had a pocket knife and we knew how to keep them sharp. Then I had to explain that back then, they were considered a tool, not a weapon.

I'm gonna give away my age, but how many of us remember printed flour sacks? My grandmother still had a stack of them when she passed and I can't bring myself to throw them away.

HELP... gotta a second chick...but no pips on the other two eggs...When do I need to get food and water to these chicks?
can I move the hen and eggs to a bigger brooder type deal with the chicks?... I think I can move her whole nest then they would have access to food and water as well... HELP!
