Hi OLdMoRoo!!!

How is everything over MO way?? Had some friends in fro Mo just a couple weekends ago, I have not picked up the incubator yet,

but am getting there, I do have eggs on the way to put in it though!!!!

It is windy here today, guess that is ok as my garden area is under water again from the storm last night, had a few pea size hail in it, not much, no harm done here, I am ready for a few warm nice days though!!!

Is anyone else addicted to the eggs selling thread? I spend as much time there as I do here. If I didn't already have so many eggs coming I would just keep buying~!

We had alot of rain too. I left my window cracked and didn't pull all the way under the car port so I have a wet butt sitting here at my desk. I'm feeling sorry for my Roo's, the pen is pretty muddy.

Henny - I think they read our minds about the chicks!

We had been talking about doing something just like that! I don't have a good reason for being a part of it but heck...I am game! What if we just did like a big assortment order or something and put them in a raffle and like first one to be drawn gets first pick and then so on? Maybe not a raffle but a door prize thing we could all throw some money at or something?

Help a fellow okie out. I just hatched babies out yesterday. I put them some layer crumbles to eat but now read it can kill them. I can't get to the feed store to buy chick starter till after 3pm this afternoon. What do I do? Do I take the feed out and make them wait for the chick starter, or just leave it till I can replace it. I don't want my babies to die

. I worked so hard to get them here.

Also can I give them yogurt at a day old or no? Oh this is even more stressful than incubating them.

Thanks for any and all help. I am so mad at myself for not paying attention and getting the right feed to start out with.

go ahead and take out the layer crumbles...won't kill them immediate but it is a build up thing...you can boil some eggs and crush them up until you can get to the feed store...in all reality they don't need anything for another day but it is hard not to feed them...not sure about the yogurt thing...
