When is the next "Blue" auction?
Sounds bigger than Harrah. I have to go to a Dr. appt. in a minute but i will pm you later.
Thanks Monty

Just so you know, Blue is the name of the town..... yeah, I'm sure you've figured that out!

This is a very large auction! It starts at 7:00 and I've heard that it's not uncommon for it to go until 1:00 in the morning, but I imagine that last night's auction went even later than that because of the amount of birds!

Ah I think I would get a couple of silkies if nothing else to keep inside. They couldn't be any more gross to have inside than the ferrets I used to have I'm sure. Plus they would stay cleaner and I could just hold them all the time. I also think it would be neat to raise a few chicks to sell/trade/whatever... hmmm

ps I like how the lady puts them in some potted grass on her balcony haha

I will check around.............I had heard someone in Harrah sold it.........I have used it ,but got it from a friend, they are the ones who said they found in it Harrah.......

I just remembered to tell everyone that when I was at the Harrah auction last Saturday night, I was listening to some of the locals talk about feed prices. One fella said he buys all of his scratch from the Luther Feed Store. He said that they mill it there, and the price I think was $8 ?? I can't remember but it was less than $9 for a 50 lb. bag. It was certainly a better price than what I'm paying for my scratch in Tuttle. I think I need to go to Luther & buy some feed! Maybe they have better prices on layer pellets too????

One of my white guineas laid their first egg today! It MUST be springtime!

It has been a while but I checked into buying feed at Luther. The mix I wanted ( laying mix) cost about half of what it would have been a t a feed store. The catch was that you had to buy it by the ton and it was bulk not bagged.
They do sell bagged feed and I am sure it is cheaper than most places.
I almost bought a ton but I didn't have enough barrels to put it in so I decided to wait and I never tried to get it again.
Maybe we should start our own OKIE BYC CO-OP and then we could all buy our feed cheaper. Lisa (Critter) and I talked about it once but never followed through.
Food for thought, huh?
