See my signature line for the number to call and the date. You will bring 2 chickens to practice on and learn how to draw a drop of blood, put it into the antigen on a white board and mix it, then wait 60 seconds and "read" the results.
The class is given at the Department of Agriculture, a few blocks north of the Capitol on Lincoln. Marie will send you the information when you call her and give her your address. You pay your fee at the time of the class on June 12.
Come join us!
You will meet at least 6 Okies in the BYC that day, if not more.

I spoke with Marie the other day and she is getting ready to retire sometime this year. The State will lose a great asset when she does. Marie is very friendly and helpful and is very easy to talk to. When you get supplies you will be able to meet her.

Well I had better head off to work. I saw early this morning that at least one station had a crew in Kingfisher so the boss will be on edge wanting to move things before it floods. The creeks are down so I see little chance of that happening.

Everyone have a great day!

Big Big storm moving through my area right now, lots & lots of rain and high winds, the roads are flooding and I know one bridge is out. I just moved my three week olds into the outside brooder last night, I can see it through my binoclulars seems ok. I may be stuck here today.

Stray - you might want toget a little lower protein for those chicks...that was 30% for quail chicks...okay in a pinch but not what you want to feed to regular chicks all the time. Go get some regular chick feed and your problems might just be solved!

As far as class goes...with this group!

Saw those storms this morning on Stormtrack...hope all is okay...we are just cloudy and dreary...and cool! Glad I still don't have a garden! How many folks plant things with the intention of it going straight to the birds?

No she hasn't. I'll get her to look at some photos tonight and see what she thinks.

One time she was determined that she was gonna overcome her fear. She was going to the pet shop to buy a bird of some sort and get over the fear. She opened the door and seen the birds, turned around and went home. lol

Maybe some day.

I got mine finished last night and still had some time to take the new neighbors son fishing.

He is an eight year old that has diabetes. Gives himself his own shots.
He had only caught a perch before last night. He caught 2 catfish, 1 three pounder and a two pounder. I don't know who was more excited him or his dad. lol

Wannabefarmer - you just became one of my heros! If it hadn't of been for neighbors and friends takingme fishing and teaching me stuff I might never had learned! As far as over-coming fears goes...there are some things I have decided are just okay! I am about as terrified of spiders as they come...thought about trying to get over it...decided it was okay screaming like a girl and running and getting my kids to kill them for me! I got over heights and small places...mostly

But I will catch any snake anywhere anytime!

LOL I have a HUGE fear of wasps. I was trying to kill some of them small yellow wasps that had a nest built on the side of the house and when I came up with a small cup of gas it caught the side of my pants and I missed the target. About 6 wasp came straight at me and I was running as you explained above and was looking back. About the time I turned around I hit the medal t pole for the clothes line and knocked myself out. When I came to, I could care less about the wasps. lol

That fear came from opening a trunk lid on an old junker car my dad had when I was a kid. I got stung on the face & ear and a few other places by red wasps. So I can understand her fear.
