I wonder how it feels to know that you gave millions of dollars for a horse and he was just beaten by something from the local sale barn. That can't be good.

-Stimp-

I guess it goes to show that you can't buy "heart" and "try". I think it was inspiring. I barrel race and know first hand that not always the most expensive horses win.

Thanks for the answer Ke-ben. I just wasn't sure what we were putting together. I understood the vote and that you were keeping it up to date......so it will be the naem of the thread.....I will have to see what I want to vote for.

Off to get ready for the show tonight. If I have time to get back on before we leave I will. Have a great night. Look forward to hearing about the auction when everyone gets back. City keep the one's here in line.

I've never been much into horse racing....only got my first horse in the last couple of years and I'm still working on riding her...my folks used to own her and before them, their neighbors used her as a trail horse. She's a registered quarterhorse, about 12-13 years old and as pretty as you can get...her name is Lacey. We've got all the tack, just need to get out there and saddle her up and get her used to the bit and bridle and reining again....

Cityclucks - Read your post to Pa-Pa and he cracked up......
You gotta get out more.......LOL He's a "total" Cajun !!!
Gees, when he came through that last "tiny" little spot of
light, I was sure we were gonna see a wreck..... Yup, that was
a "Feel Good" Kentucky Derby. Hey, TJ might win a big show,
yet !!!!!!!! LOL

This Primal Meat Sale was Thursday, Friday and today and ends
at 7:00. These briskets are the "whole" briskets, not trimmed
or anything and weigh 20-25 lbs each. I run them through the
meat grinder and don't have to add any tallow or anything.
I tried this a few years back and my bunch won't eat hamburger
anymore. We think it's better than ground sirloin or ground
round....and only .20 higher than regular hamburger.....Of course,
Na-Na works pretty cheap when she's in the kitchen.....LOL
They have these in the spring and will have another one this
fall.

Better get my backside in gear. This bunch is getting Chef
Salads for supper. Got Kendra in there boiling eggs, now that
she's good at it.......LOL

Be back later.

Teach is at his in-laws - I think they're down there making bullets, if I read his last posts correctly.

Na-Na - you tell PaPa I miss him! Chef salad sounds good. And lucky you to have Kendra to help. When I walked into the POOPS clubhouse last Saturday morning she was stuffing eggs and when I walked out that night she was sweeping the floor. That is some girl you have! Tell her next time put all that egg stuffing in a ziploc bag, then snip a corner off and squeeze the filling into the eggs - fills 'em smooth and fancy - and it's a lot easier than stuff them with a spoon.

Sooner, Thanks for the welcome.
About 30 posts ago I was talking to myself after everyone else bailed out. I went had a big bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup. (Yes I made it ) and then I went and did the mud thing and fed the chickens.

When is your show?

No wonder I couldn't understand him! I used to go to Lafayette every other year for the Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Show & Expo - I'd have a big gas compressor or two to set up in an outside booth and would work with the crane companies to set them. I'd tell the chief where I wanted them and we could communicate just fine...then he'd turn around and speak some other language to the guys working with him - I never did understand whatever he was saying to them.

And they all called me Cher...no matter how many times I told them my name is Beth...

Sonya, nice horse. Mine all need to be ridden, but I have a good excuse. I am due with my second daughter the end of June and have been forbidden to ride until after she is born. My husband is at a teamroping as I type. The weather was just too nasty to go watch. Well, that and it is a teamroping. Like watching paint dry...
