I swear we bought y'alls shrooms for awhile... they are at WalMart and have a sign that says "Locally Grown, Miami, OK" over the bin.... That would be so cool... ya ever send shrooms to Altus?

Mikey says tell the wingman howdy!

Sitting here all woozy and tired...started a new med recently and the doc said, "take it in the morning"...well I took it this afternoon, but realized that it makes me very very tired and lightheaded, so guess what, I'm going to start taking it at night instead....can't be working feeling as loopy as I do right now.

Hey check out a recent picture of the Mopheads.. (not official breed name!!)

Hubby's at work tonight and my stepson and friend are out at the movies...girls are watching "Fairly Oddparents" on tv and I'm sitting here browsing the net....LOL. I need to go check on the birds outside before it gets dark...brb.

I have all pullets - about 10 weeks old.
-Dark Cornish
-Brown Leghorn
-Black Australorp
-Barred Rock
-Buff Orpington
-EE
-Rhode Island Red

I want Speckled Sussex pullets. I also would like to know why Silkies are so popular, and I'm increasingly intrigued by the apparent wonders of bantam-ness.

I've never understood the love for bantams either...I love them big birds....I fell absolutely *in love* with those black langshans the cuban longtails had at POOPS....they were huge!

I want to have a nice Welsummer flock, but loved the pics of the blue andalusians that Okiehen has, so I got a dozen and a half of each from her in the incubator now. I also have some 10 week old pullets that are RIR and BO and my 3 full grown hens from 2 years ago at Atwoods...one's a red sex link and ones a black australorp, oh and the SLW is from a trade not atwoods.

I figure if I get a nice flock of the welsummers and blue andalusians I may eventually get rid of the rest and just add a trio or so of some select other breeds. It's all a work in process isn't it.

I just realized no one asked *me* what I had, but I had to jump on the postwagon.

The coop is a huge mucky, muddy, stinky mess!!! I'm so glad that I have my hubby's old work boots to muck around in. Refilled the feeder and had to refill the duckling/EE chick waterer. The ducks are growing so fast, and they are just so stinking adorable.

The older pullet chicks are all congregated under the hutch brooder in the coop...in the mud...except for one that was smart enough to be roosting on the top of the hutch.

Gotta run some kids home.....Abby picked up some friends somewhere that need a ride.

I'm glad to know what you have Sonya! Growing up we just had a bunch of stinky white leghorns and I didn't really care for chickens. So learning about all these breeds and personalities has been fun for me.

Cuban's Langshans were amazing - so pretty! I guess I haven't seen the Blue Andalusians. I am trying to keep my cluck addiction under control...I already have too many chickens and I want more! And I really thought those bantam rhode island reds bigokie had at POOPS were incredible.

Blue Andalusians are neat chickens but if you raise a lot of different breeds, they are to keep up with since they hatch out three different colors.
I used to cross my BA roo over everything I had and ended up with some very colorful chickens. My roo died so I sold my hens.
I miss them sometimes.
