I am a newbie chicken owner and I absolutely love my two little araucana chicks. They are a month old today and getting bigger every day.

My gosh we are probably neighbors

Where 'abouts' do you live in Calera (you can let me know off-forum if you'd like)
Are you looking for any chickens/ducks?
Do you have kids in 4-H (I teach the Poultry Club, and we would love to have you join us)
Do you ever go to John Teel's poultry auction?
I'm so glad you joined our group, and I cannot wait to chat more

woops yea well by all means I am up for Krebs. I have family all over down that way. Then next time we go up towards Tulsa area or around Lawton area well we would also have to go to the NO trees land, you know up there in that handle part of OKIE land. Do they have restaurants up there or will he have to cook for us.

Grace, I think my favorite color I had in OEGB was the Crele, Silver Blue, Fawn Silver Duckwings, and the Blue Reds!!! I was one of the first in Oklahoma the raise and show the Chocolate and Chocolate SilverDuckwing, I ordered some trios of different Chocolates from a man in Tennesee, cost me $300 at the time and that was a lot of money back 20 years ago!!! Lynn

Crele and Ginger Red have always been my two favorite OEGB colors... well, maybe Blue/Splash too.
I only have the trio of Silver DuckWings for now.

Good thing I went to bed last night 15 minutes before the late shift started. It seems like the posts have been non stop.

Carla, Warhorse are standard OEGs (used to be bred for battle) I used to have some long ago.

Luv2, I guess it was a good thing I didn't go to Cement auction last night, was really thinking about going, I would have been bidding on those Blue OEGs if they were the LF size, the Warhorse are very hard to find in Pure form, would like yo have some though Carla if Sam gets an extra trio he wants to get rid of, Lynn

Sooner, I am glad we finally got on here at the same time. Beth might share a secret she learned at POOPS about keeping eggs warm. Where are you finding chicks in downtown OKC. The Bricktown Hatchery?

Monty, my ex-BIL has them over on meridian and 29th. He has 3 or 4 different colors. He shows them at the shawnee show. He said I can have more when the chicks are big enough to tell male from female.

Has some big black astrolapas (can't spell that)! I might see about them next time.
