Cool! Thanks Monty!

Jack just came to visit me and bought 3 dozen cuckoo marans and 2 dozen turken eggs from me. He said he intends to see us all at the Jones auction next week.

Maybe we'll have a mini Okies meetup at the Jones auction next Saturday? There's definitely going to be a crowd since Blanchard isn't having their auction next week. Somebody better get there early and save seats!

That is neat info to know about the warhorse! Wow, just found out more about them on a google search! Here's a guy that tells a lot about the warhorse, but it's too technical of game bird info for me. http://www.dannysgamefowlfarm.com/site/warhorse.php There's only 10 hatching eggs, unfortunately! I have my fingers crossed that they hatch!

Well gotta go feed the poor starving birds. Be back in a while.

Yes he did, you lucky man! Oh, and he's needing some more turken eggs to fill an order. Do you have any? I don't think he needs many. I gave him all I had.

I still have that Welsummer rooster for you. Just got to get Gerald better, so he'll catch him, plus it would be nice if the pen would dry out a bit.

Oh, and Lynn ... you should've been there at Cement. There were some LF old english creole there. I'm not familiar with the other colors, but there were several pens of nice looking game birds there.

Oh, and a beautiful pair of Cubalaya ???? Sam snagged those!

Now, I'm really going to go feed now!

I'll get the rooster whenever you guys are ready. I candled some Wellie eggs I have under a hen and they are showing some life so maybe the roo I have isn't infertile but inexperienced. I still want the one you have too.
I have severl NN eggs that I can get to Jack. I'll call him.

Sounds like we may be cooking "bantams".........LOL
We've got Standard Langshans and Pa-Pa's baby Standard
Cochins..........(We'll see how long it takes to BLOW DRY one of
those suckers)......but everything else that TJ is showing is
Bantam.............

The Standard Birds are cool to look at, but Na-Na has to
"squeeze" the feed bill into the budget............LOL

Have a good one !

I have to work the next 2 weekends in a row ICK!! But I am off Memorial Weekend

So what is going on that weekend?? Who is going to what auction? I would LOVE
love.gif
to take a drive down that direction and go to an auction.
I know we will hit the Afton swap meet in the morning, but I would like to be able to meet up with a few of our Okies.

Necie, I had meant to ask, are you guys threatened by any of the toxic stuff over by Picher. how close is that?

Monty, I think that some of it is blown out of perportion. The lead level is HIGH, yes that is true. but with good hand washing and proper washing of stuff you stick in your mouth, it can reduce a lot of the ingestion of the lead dust. Shaun had a high lead level when he was a toddler but it dropped and I think he is turning out ok??

Tar Creek (the red water) comes from the mining equipment that was left underground when the mining companies went broke, breaking down in the flooded shafts.
Many people have come up with solutions to fix it but the goverment has its own ideas

This year will be Picher's last graduation. The town has slowly been dwindleing since they started the buyouts and moving the families out. But it was put to a vote and the kids will start going to Quapaw or Commerce starting next year. That will be hard on them since all of our schools have always been rivals in all of the sports and such.

Beth(clucks) What was you doing up in the Quapaw area?? Shaun attends Quapaw schools.

Hi Necie, I am glad the toxic stuff isn't a threat to you guys.

Iam not sure what auctions will be going on then but I am sure someone will let us knw.

Well now that I have someone to talk to I have to go and get Jared to youth choir. Sorry!
Back later,
Monty

quenston, where did you go to sales in this neck of the woods??
I knew there was sales at Leach and Southwest City Mo. but I don't know when they are and if they are any good.
I though the Miami city wide garage sale was a rain out. I wanted to go to the Turkey Creek Feed Stre swap but had to do baseball stuff instead. And did you go to Orschlins(?) in Neosho today? John said they was having a big thing today but I didn't know if they did since it was RAINING again.

Just incase no one has discovered this yet............wet chickens STINK!!
