I'm so glad to hear they are doing so well.
I agree with Cuban...a crooked or crossed beak is not something you want in your birds...and it can get worse in the chick as it grows. It can be so bad that the poor thing can't eat or drink well, if at all.

Yes!!!! A water heater thermostat sits against the wall of the water tank so it can monitor the temp of the water through the metal. What do you have in mind??.

And....you have a "long" strip of wide elastic so you can
"oh...snap" her back home? Gees, surely this is about over....
Think we've had our share.....So, are the bridges back open????...
Am getting the feeling you aren't ready to "cook" again.........
In case you haven't noticed.....we'll do whatever you need for

If you want to be innovative and hatch only a few eggs, there are some homemade incubators shown on one of the threads - someone had a link to one made out of an ice chest on here earlier this week.

Are you on an antenna, satelite or cable?

I wonder if it is because the analog uses a wider band width than digital.

Analog uses a narrow band width on a wide frequency, Digital satilite is line of sight to a geosyncronise orbiting satilte locate between 110-129 degrees lattitude south, 26 miles into orbit. cable is just analog mixed jumbled and washed up and split and transmitted many way's.

Well I dont think that there is going to be any escaping the weather tonight!! But just to throw this idea out, I bought some tie downs for mobile homes the other day and had just enuff to tie all my coops down and I know they wont move cuz I got the dent in my tailgate to prove it!!!

Sometimes you can get a styrofoam incubator at an auction for less than $25. Two sold recently at the Jones auction for less tha $20, if my memory serves me correctly. I like the idea of painting the inside with non-toxic paint, since the thing I don't like with the foam incubators is trying to sanitize them. I used to keep one hovabator just for hatching so that I could keep the hovabators with the egg turners relatively clean - at least they didn't have bits of egg shell around the edges and green gunk from the hatch all around the sides.
