What a pretty afternoon we had today after yesterday being so awful. The sun was shining, the cranes were flying over and it got up to 50 in my coop! It was awesome.

Oh, it was sunshiny here today but it never made it over 30!

And we still have SNOW all over!! But this weekend is suppose to be up in the 50's. I hope it will me nice our 4h is having a meeting and we will be talking about show goats.

Hey Teach if you wanna see some real wild country come up this way, we have 75+ acres of soild timber and underbrush. We even have water that comes right up out of the ground and runs into this big dugout spot. The water is so cold that you can't stand to swim in it!! But you can try if you want.

When ARE we getting together. How many are going to Pryor Bantam Show?

I have had BBAAAAAAADDDDDDD luck with shipped eggs coming from very far away. What about us Okies listing what eggs we will have this spring and maybe we can have a better hatch rate just shipping within the state.

Have you gotten/hatched the eggs yet? Do you mind me asking what this contest was?

I have not got my eggs yet they are on hold for a March delivery, I won ( 12 ) in a best Thanksgiving dinner photo contest. I am still working on the drawings & specs for incubator, My plan is to make a furniture grade floor model bator/hatcher/brooder combo in a cool looking upright table design. What do you think about this idea??.

If you can add a place for a TV, you could say it was just an entertainment center.

I had thought about adding a steering wheel because I know this is going to drive me crazy. LOL

Did anyone feel the EARHTQUAKE ??? If we had been awake we would have! It woke up my hubby's family, who live next door to my parents (where I used to live.) They said it rattle shelves and sounded like a roar even outside. They thought someone had drove into the side of the house.

about a mile away from them is a gas station and McDonald's on the turnpike. They said that things were knocked off the shelf at the gas station, and that the price tags got shook out of the signs outside! I'm so jealous I missed it!

About 1:20 am (an hour ago) my hubby and I were sitting on the couch. I thought I felt something, and about that time he asked if I felt anything and then pointed at the curtain pulls shaking! No one had reported anything yet, but at least if I'm crazy so is he!

Henny, I can't believe I missed it! They're thinking the epicenter was about a mile and a half north of my parents, where my hubby used to have cattle. So sorry earthquakes aren't exciting to you.

I work with a bunch of people who aren't from Oklahoma. They're starting to think its hell, with the extreme temps on both ends, draughts, random freezes, tornados, and earthquakes! I read on a blog somewhere where someone said Oklahoma was going to fall into the ocean.
