My computer glitched on me.
I just want to have some really big red chickens. Being good layers would be a plus.
Probably not Cochins though, since the ones I had were lousy layers. I don't mind using cohins if they would lay well.

OK listen up ... I'm only gonna say this once ...

The best lesson you can learn concerning genetics and color.

Step 1. Start with white. Any kind of fowl will do, but a nice white rock is preferable.

Step 2. Stay with white. Again, any bird will do, but if it aint a white rock, it's just a white chicken, so who really cares?

Step 3. End with white. If you followed steps 1 & 2 closely, you should have a pretty nice white fowl (ie white rock). If it isn't a white rock, again, who cares? It may as well be a flying rat.

I know that white fades out red in pigeons, I know that black can cover red in pigeons and then come out in the next cgeneration, I wish Dr Petty were still around, he knew mor about genetics that anyone I ever Knew and could have told you exactly what you needed to breed to get almost anything.

Stimp , I thought about starting with a white rock and spray painting it red but I want some bigger than even rocks.

I have to announce that I have a new addiction. Teach can keep his diet mt dew. I have discovered Diet Rite Pure Zero Tangerine soda. This is the 'crack cocaine' of the soda pop world. I have nightmares about having my glass run dry. I have to find me a 12 step program to help me kick this devil's brew, but I know that, deep down in my heart, I don't really wanna stop.
