Charter - CONGRATULATIONS !!!!! What a beautiful
occasion to celebrate....wishing you a wonderful day and
many more.

I read your post to Bill and we wondered.....at the last
Cherokee County Show, there was a tall gentleman walked
up just as Bill was coming back over to where the kids and
I were. He visited with Bill about TJ's show boxes and the
birds, and then went on visiting with others. Since Bill
knows most everyone in Cherokee County, I asked him
after he left, "who was that?"......He said, "I don't guess
I know him." In this small world.........could that have
been you? Of course, if you were there, you probably
know who TJ is...........He's only 10 and knows more
people around here than we do..............He's sooooo
full of "it", may be governor one of these days.....LOL

We do reserve the right to "holler".......................

Have a good one !

Well seems everyone has turned in early tonite. I need to but the meds havent taken hold yet. Its good to see lot of youngre folks on here taking an interest.I am hopping for one more long summer to sit back and enjoy my birds and garden every day; I would love to write a book just putting down how I learned things and things I've tried.Proablity would not be a good market any thing like that, but maybe my grandkids could clean a little from it
Wow there have been so many birds and animals under the bridge of my life ,thry could fill a zoo! There was never a dull moment 1And as i face the nearer end of my life. I hope to keep havinh these experiences plum up to the end.I tell my Dw I have so much useless info in my hearI guess great men are the same way they just have more importlant things like world affairs ect.But I wouldn
t trade a one of my afternoos sitting on a buckte watching my critter for any of thier famous meetinf ,summite.rertreats, whatever they call them,

I was thinking the same thing. I have had so many animal experiences that I am even surprised at them. Most of mine have been in exhibition. Over the years I have bred and shown .....dogs, canaries, chickens, pigeons, goats, rabbits and fish. The worst of the experiences was in dogs and pigeons. Big money have ruined both of them.
Now you just have not lived until you go to a fish show. After spending so many years around poultry shows and if you have ever been to one, you know how loud they are. A fish show was probably the most boring thing I ever did. The silence was deafening! I do miss raising my guppies though. The show part they can have.

Charter - I have never heard of a "fish show." That would be interesting to attend - at least one time

Somehow, I suspect it is a bit different than attending the OKC tackle show, where the fish tanks consist of a huge tank on a trailer and Bill Dance showing off his casting skills, or a swimming pool of trout where you pay $5 so your child can try and catch one.

Dachsunds, you sound like you are feeling old tonight.

It would be wonderful to spend a day listening to you and Charter talk about your experiences showing animals and birds and your homegrown cures for their ailments. Between the two of you, we could probably write a best seller on enjoying life by appreciating the simple things that come our way.

Good night, Okies

People Of Oklahoma Poultry Swap April 25th 2009 I-40 and Chactow KOA

camp.

This is just an informal get together of our group here and their family

and frineds. We can bring birds to sell/trade/swap.

Okie Dokie will start the food thread here and will update it here on this

post and also move it to current page each day. Will that work.

Who is bringing what.

Those that are traveling a ways maybe could do paper and plastic ware.

Breads and chips. There will be a Loves right at the exit off I-40 to get

ice and such if needed. There is a WalMart just about 15 miles from this

exit on I40 in Shawnee. There is also a walmart off I-240 and I-40 from

the west in OKC.

Welcome and good morning folks!

No school today! Silly snow days...we spend just about the rest of the year without going to school on Fridays! Time to get things done already crossed about 5 things off the list. Now to call the KOA place and get my reservation!

Good morning, everyone!

Wow, I wish I could go to POOPS. Not just because of the name, ('cause that totally ROCKS,)
but because you guys are such a great group of people that I'm just dying to meet you all face to face.

How is everyone this week? I hope you're enjoying the weather as much as we are here--got some more lettuces planted, and the windows are open to let the breeze blow through. We can hear the chickens while we homeschool--didn't realize one of the roos copies egg song, though. Psych on me.

I love spring.
