OK... I am super bummed out. I went out to finish up hens for the day and another egg was munched. I brought it in and did an eggtaupsy and it was a perfect little black chick. Beak, toes and toenails .... I am sad. Now I am down to 4.... how do I know if they are alive. This is day 18...I think I am going to hide until day 22. Then go look. I need a farghing bator.... wait... no... nevermind. At least now I can blame the dang hen!!! I think I need to rethink the nest box... the sides might be too high.... I am using milk crates...I am going to have Mike sawsall the fronts off to about 4 inches..... Gosh... the stress... back on the treadmill....

I am pretty sure they are standards but they aren't what I would call big. They are laying. I am pretty sure I will sell them unless I get attached. I don't really need them but I don't NEED most of the other breeds I have either
Are Bantam Hamburgs small like OEGBs?
I will let you know what I decide but I probably will sell them.

Good evening all! Got my april/may issue of backyard Poultry. They have several articles on broodies. In one they keep talking about "American Game Bantams""AGB's" They describe all the colors of "OLd English Game Bantams" OEGB". Is there a difference? Did they rename them or is the guy mistaken? Also an article on cubalays.Big ad on the back for "mypetchicken.com" Seems you can order as few as 3 and also sexed bantams. bet they are real expensive tho.
How s the weather out there? Cool and rainy with severe storms headed our way in Tennessee.
Sounds like the Poops meet is going to be great! Wish I could go but its about ten hours away!

Dachsounds, there is a difference in the AGB and the OEGB, (it is all the vowels, HAHAHA) Ok, sorry couldn't resist, anyways, the AGB were supossedly bred down from Fighting Pit Games and have been crossed with OEGB, the OEGBs are the Bantam version of the Standard OEG, they all come in most of the same colors as do the Dutch Bantams, they all look a lot alike except for size, I guess you could say they are big, medium, and small, as in SOEG, AGB, OEGB, Confused yet????!!!! Lynn
