I am so excited that I just had to share: I have 3 blue duck eggs in the incubator that I found behind my house. I candled them at 5 days and at least 2 out of 3 are definitely developing! Woo hoo!

How's everyone's weather conditions?? It's 2am here in chickasha, and its almost quit. I had about an inch of fluffy snow on my car when I got off work at 11pm. And the radar looks like its still coming! My aunt and uncle live in Slapout. At 6pm they'd already got about 8" of snow, and they're not getting a break!

Morning all, yep I am up early this morning. Couldnt sleep due to thinking about how many chicks hatched over night. In the brower only 2 more hatched, now mind you I am pleased any hatched out of this one , 1) these were mailed eggs and 20 I am having the devil of a time keeping temp in this thing. Now I am being a good girl and not opening the sportsman, will wait till hubby is up and we can remove any chicks and close her back up quickly. So yesterday 5 hatched and now 2 more and I hear lots of chirping in the sportsman.

Just peeked outside while running the water to make coffee and YEP there is snow out there. Moved my little fussy butt in the house with her 4 eggs. It didnt seem to bother her to move her in the house. She is just on day 3 or 4 of setting.

My hubby love labs. We are actually looking for a chocolate lab, so if anyone knows of any puppy's give us a holler.

Sonya, I grew up in Shawnee many a moons ago. As I have said before I have family there in Mac and Hartshorne, we use to go as kids to Robbers Cave and we use to take our kids there to slide down "devils slide" oh gosh the kids had so much fun they would wear out the seat of their pants. Have not been there in years. There is alot of memories from that area.

greatest Dog ever

funny how we all say that about our Pets (member of the family)
we got her at a month old to be a watch dog for the birds. the first winter she stayed out side in her heated house.. then this past winter I made a mistake and let her in.. Now I think my DW would put me out in the heated dog house before she would Poopcee

Did I tell you she is a great dog, and we also have a Pom named Patty bell and she is our baby.. it's so funny to see the 2 of them play..Patty runs under Poopcee to hide

I just love the R Ridgeback, mom had one her name was Missy. She just up and died last summer. She was only about 5 or 6 yrs old. we cried for days. I would take another one in a heartbeat. She was so scared of thunderstorms and would "try" to crawl under neath you when it was a stormin.

Your poopcee is a pretty girl.

Thank You, she is pretty.. she will be 2 next week..she thinks she is getting a party but she is wrong.. she wants some birds of her own, I keep telling her she has to be able to feed them herself, not just love on them..cause when one of ours gets out she has to get it and hold it down while we get the pen door open..I tell that is is a big help..I guess we will see how it goes..

Good morning okies!

Speaking of labs, I have two black lab mixes, litter mates we found out in the middle of nowhere 5 years ago, now that we have kids=not a lot of spare time and don't have a lot of land we've been thinking of relocating them since their life here doesn't seem fair. They are really sweet dogs, good with kids, fairly obediant, neutered, very active (which is why I don't think its fair to them to keep them here, it would be different if we knew for sure we would be moving sometime soon), anyway if you know anyone that might be interested, they are about 40-50 lbs and 5 years old, would be happy to share pics.

Sooner, how many do you have in the incubator? Mine were slow to start but now they are popping out pretty fast now. Pulled out 5 last night and another 16 this morning, with more and more hatching now.

I have 21 in and about 12 pipped. I thought I might have some when I got up this morning, 4 were pipped last night. I have to go to town later I don't want to miss it!!!

What are you hatching?? For me this batch is Mutt's that I will love anyways, LOL.

Mainly mutts also. Can be true jersey giants, RIR, BR, EE's.

I have 44 3 week old chicks out in the brooder now and these now hatching. I do NOT know what I am going to do with all of these chicks. Yea I know sell them, but but but then I have to choose which ones I want to sell.

I do have a doz of blrw that I got thru the mail. I sure hope they hatch, have not heard anything from them. Then on Monday the welsummers and marans should be hatching, along with more mutts.

LOL, I know exactly what you are saying. I have 21 coming out today hopefully and already have more eggs coming in the mail from BYC sellers to start as soons as I get them. I don't need them but I want them. My hubby just keeps looking at me an shaking his head.
