Hey Al and Don,

I found something that I can acquire for the low low price of free that might be made into an incubator/hatcher. but I am not sure.
It is a glass display case. It would sure need some modifications.
It is about six feet long. four feet high and maybe 30 inches deep.
Any hope for this thing?

And I forgot that I'd have to go out and get the chicks out of the brooder in the coop, cause the lights would be out and they wouldn't have any heat...so I'd have to bring them in to keep them warm too.....egads...spring weather....

I can't fret about it right now...it may not even become an issue...deep breath.....exhale.

I had an idea for something for POOPS but I don't think I can pull it off so if folks like the idea and someone wants to take it and run with it here it is.
How about putting together a big group order for chicks from Ideal
or McMurray hatcheries and have them delivered a day or so before POOPS. Then everyone could go ga ga over them.
Craxy thought huh?

UUUTT OOHHH I am in trouble then, I have a BBQ apron that says skinney guy's can't be trusted LOL LOL. At least with you guy's there won't be any leftovers, you will have to bribe me to get to the head of the line on seconds though LOL.

Monty :
You crack me up with your comments about the doc, my DW doc's all look like Yoda in her words LOL. So so true though seems like they are all from India or Pakistan, well at least they have tiny fingers

every one come to this POOPS get together. Gosh if we can have this much fun with typing to each other can you imagine the fun it will be face to face.

Lost 7 of the outside (3-7 week olds) yesterday. Opened the coop at 7 30 am went back out at noon and there they were dead. Did not even show signs there was anything wrong.

Watched youtubes on how to cull the birds and hubby went and found a heating element off an old dishwasher and "rigged" it up to get water to 150. We have 5 roosters and 1 egg eaten hen put up and ready. My poor girls backs are getting beat up bad I have got to get rid of some roosters. That is the bad thing, the good thing tho is most ALL my eggs are REAL fertile.

I have to make a decision now, I need to drop one more JG roo, I am doing away with the black roo and have 3 blues to pick from. I have black blue and splash chicks that are (2) 4 months old and (6) that are 2 months old and about 15 or so that are 1 month old and now this new hatch.

The Okie's are comin out of the woodwork!! Welcome everyone.

Such a nice group of people!!

I was quite yesterday sonya due to being busy at work but most of all this wonderful cold my daughter shared with me. I am flat wore out. Hopefully I will do alittle better today.

Hope everyone has a great day. Don't get blown away.

Every one get well soon, of course better be all well and healed up by the end of April. I made my reservations with my daughter to get my loving 5 1/2 yr old (cant forget that 1/2) for that weekend. he learned how to drive a 4 wheeler all by him self this past weekend.

Carla, when is your grandbaby due???? How is your daughter doing? Glad you will be the babysitter for them. I am also the babysitter for my grandson( I get him everyday after school, and new grandbaby that is due Sept. 1st. That is my grandson's birthday also. How KEWL will it be to have both grandbabies born on same day 6 yrs apart. I know the odds of this new baby being born on that day??????? Probably more likely the end of August.

Oh forgot something............dont know how I could forget but question here. Was sitting here at the computer and my lil dog was under my chair as usual well anyway, there was this HORRIBLE smell, I was like AGUSTUS Gus for short what crawled up you and died. he looks at me like nope not me. Well remember the other night when OLD man winter visited, we brought the broody cochin in the house in a pet carrier..................OMG she pooped out the side of the carrier and it went for at least a foot. Nasty and stink.(sorry for being graphic) Is that "normal" is she sick? She seems to be ok and still sitting on the eggs.
