Yes it is OK to wash them off, let air dry, You know that you should let the eggs rest a day with the pointy side down before placing them in the bator.
with mine, I bring them up to room temp, then just wash them with water that is about room temp. I won't take much to clean them up...
Sorry folks ( it's just my way) and it works for me..

Thanks everyone!! I had 2 EE break, 3 Golden sebright, 1 Golden polish break.

I hope it is okay for them to rest on the side until I get home. The carton is paper so I can't clean it out.

I missed all the snake talk! I have to catch up.

PS Don't tell my boss he is paying me to wash my eggs. LOL.

How does your hatching go with un-shipped eggs? I really really really hope my eggs hatch. This is only the first set of 4 that are ordered.

Ya know I just re-read what I wrote and that didn't come out right. Please don't take offense of my skatter brain typing luvs. I should only do one thing at a time.

I guess all I can do is hope for the best....

I am sitting quietly watching all this talk about hatching eggs and waiting for the "I have some baby chicks to sell" conversations to start. Maybe I should just put my order in now. Speckled Sussex & Blue Orp babies, please!

Heehee. If you are going to POOPs I bet someone might have some they could bring. My babies right now are just mix breeds but they are cute. The new eggs that are arriving will be my start to different breeds.

I am considering getting a cochin Roo to go with my girls......The price is right but I don't have my breeding pens ready yet.....My maternity ward doesn't have enough room for 4 girls and a roo.
