I guess what I am wanting is bantam hatching eggs, slikies, cochins, polish. I need a cochin roo. I will have EE, JG, RIR, and then mutt chicks for sale. Some will be in their UGLY stage.

Oh dear! The news last night said a poultry farm in near by Kentucky was quartined with bird flu!. I am so afraid that things like this will cause a ban on auctions and swaps. I know I can seed the need, but it would be so awful not to be able to enjoy backyadr poultry. On the countryside forumn the other day they were talking about haveing to "register" chicks you bought at feed stores with the government. You have to keep records of each bird and notify them if its sold or dies. I'am afraid our times are changeing. So I'm going to hoard as many as I can!Yeah! a nother reason to buy chicks!

Cuban, I have a Marans rooster that OKCarla hatched from Mergamet from here on BYC. He looks to be a Golden Cuckoo but I am not for sure. I emailed Mergamet a while back and she assured me if he was from her eggs he is pure. I will have him available at POOPS for you to look at.

Dachsunds - I hear ya on the hoarding thing! Chickens are just one of the things I have decided to hoard. I am not buying from anywhere that asks too many questions! I like folks like Monty...kind low profile...no wait he is low speed...maybe it is Al that is low profile...nope he is low IQ...Lynn?...well anyways...they don't ask questions!
